Nightshift 49: Extra Storage - 2nd Floor

HK stepped through, mouth already moving before his eyes got around to letting his brain in on things, and before the confusion managed to tap Mouth on the shoulder and get it to realize something was wrong. "Statement: And here we-- ...Where are we." This wasn't what was on the door. In fact, the room was too big to be the one the ( Read more... )

Lugnut stumbled as he followed HK, feeling slightly dizzy for a moment, like the ground had lurched beneath his feet-- and he blinked, looking around. "Non-Euclidean...? What was supposed to be here?" he asked, sounding equal parts annoyed and worried as he stepped deeper into the room. There did look like there might be some things of use, here, but not as weapons.

"Explanation: This room is too big to be the one we were going to. It physically couldn't fit into the space between the two adjacent rooms." He turned around just in time to see the door shut by itself. "...Sarcasm: Wonderful."

"That's impossible," Lugnut said, though he didn't sound very certain. No less impossible than fitting a Decepticon into a little human body...

Still, that didn't mean he couldn't investigate the room, and he shone his flashlight over the shelves, investigating a roll of silver-- adhesive tape? Hmm, he wasn't much for building his own weapons-- he had never needed to be, Lord Megatron had always made sure he was fitted with everything he needed-- but desperate times...

"Agreement: It should be," HK said, looking distinctly miffed at the room, as if this was all its fault for being there and being impossible. "Conjecture: This is likely tied to the doorway somehow. I am unsure as to whether we will be able to return to the same hallway that were were in before, or will find ourselves in another if we go through it again." Well, at least things weren't boring anymore.

And yet another unpredictable room. This was getting irritating. Teresa liked it when things were more straightforward as it allowed her enemies to think she was all power and not as intelligent as she was. Shining her light around, Teresa hmphed.

"This appears to be a storage room."

[SOMEONE REMIND ME HOW TO READ MAPS, PLZ. X|]Contrarily, Yomi only propped the pipe against her shoulder and benignly surveyed her handiwork. Rashness wasn’t what drew her on, not anymore. "There," she said. "Breadcrumbs to mark our way." Teleportation was all well and good--she had to believe in it, even if she’d never experienced it quite like this, outside of TV shows and the range of abilities she was familiar with--but in this instance, who could say how it was working. Or where they would end up ( ... )

The newest room at least held promise, and as Teresa passed the beam of her flashlight over the shelves, Homura reached out to stop its progress over a certain area. "And of potential use to us." With Adelheid gone, keeping his group supplied with weapons of any sort was a concern. The small blades that came from another upstairs area were useful, but the blunt-edged hammers Homura had seen on the shelf were also. "Hold your light there. Hayashi, be on guard for anything that might approach." Not that Homura knew how observant the woman was, but he trusted his own ability to compensate for anything she might have missed, so it was a good opportunity to judge her skills ( ... )

[warped from here.]

As Porky stepped through the doorway of the group therapy room, he felt another knot form in his stomach. Thankfully, there wasn't much left to actually vomit up, so he was able to recognize his surroundings much faster than normal. It had only taken five or so warps, but Porky had finally reached a room that had actually useful supplies. As soon as the nausea subsided, Porky began scanning the room for any aerosol cans or chemicals. The one upside of ending up in a janitor's closet was that the things held within were generally meant to clean up messes, but they were also very good at causing them ( ... )
