And here they were. Unsurprisingly, there were a few other patients around. Some of them looked to already be in groups together, but there were also one or two who were apparently alone. Seeing how Zack hadn't gotten a description of the person they were meeting up with, he couldn't tell if they were late or early.
Pausing, he glanced over at Aidou questioningly. "Is he here yet?" he asked, voice low. It would be kind of awkward if he was asking about someone who was already there and said person heard him doing so, after all. Besides, depending on how long they'd possibly made their third member wait, there was a chance the guy was in a bad mood.

Baubles like in a video game, Aidou saw it. An obstacle course for Landel’s pleasure. But even the smallest chance that they--and what else remained to be revealed in the basement--could come to something was enough for the noble, as there was no room for loose ends in this prison they’d all found themselves in.
He did have an idea of the shield’s purpose, but since he couldn’t back it up, he kept quiet for now.

He glared at the flash of the Sun Room he caught as they barreled through, before the presence of another drew the majority of his attention. On the bad side, a pair of morons were running around screaming, making themselves targets for themselves and everyone around them, but on the good side, Sasuke had arrived and found them seemingly without trouble. Aidou slipped the shield back into the pillowcase, the corners of his mouth drawn tight.
At least they could get going now.
Zack’s gesture was impossible to miss, and he eyed it with an air of speculation. However, the loss of his sight was Sasuke’s burden; Aidou hadn’t mentioned it for that fact. What he did say was, “This is Zack, the one I mentioned.”

It was a puzzle, though, right? This kind of stuff could be a headache, but it had sounded like Aidou mainly wanted him for grunt work. Which was insulting, but he'd been let in on a lot of information thus far, so he couldn't say it wasn't worth it ( ... )
