[From M59]Dinner hadn't been Italy's cooking, but Prussia finished it anyway; food was food, and if he succeeded in breaking out of here, it might be a while before he had another chance at a meal

Once the night started, Honey set about getting his things in order. Hopefully they'd be able to find the room okay and if they had enough people, they could head out in smaller groups and get to baking! He pulled out the cake from last night, setting aside a piece for Leon, then helping himself to a piece before the guests started to arrive.
[ooc: those for cake club, comment here. Honey will place them in groups as they arrive and send 'em out. Message me if there's preference on who wants to group with who, otherwise I'll just do it as they show up. :)]
Sai changed quickly, arming himself and grabbing up his flashlight. The metal was stored neatly inside a pillowcase, something he should have done the night before.
Kakashi would be coming to his room to retrieve the items, but it looked as though his roommate might be preparing for company as well. Rather than stick around and take up space when it wasn't necessary, Sai nodded a farewell to the boy and moved out into the hall.
And then, there the number was, right at the end of the first hallway he checked. Tylor smiled again, letting out a heavy sigh of relief. Just keep moving and things will work out somehow--that was all he had to do. Chance would take care of the rest.
Knocking on the door, he called in quietly. "Hello? Is 'Usa-chan' there yet? Oh, I hope I didn't misunderstand the message, sorry if this is the wrong place!" Tylor laughed in awkward self-depreciation. Even if he was in the wrong place, something nice might still be behind the door.
It was usual to see people moving about the hall right after the doors opened, with or without flashlights. One never knew how fast time was going to move for someone else in this place, so while he didn't believe he'd taken much time preparing to leave he was already looking around for a familiar figure as he stepped out the door. Sai ran the beam of the flashlight along the floor in order to avoid catching anyone in the eye. (He'd need to get new batteries for it soon.)
Near the end of the hall, he did spot someone he thought he recognized. It wasn't Kakashi, however. Sai had never worked with this particular jounin, but that didn't mean he wasn't aware of him. Maito Gai had worked with Naruto on the mission to rescue the Kazekage not long before he'd met the blond himself. He was a well-known figure in the village besides. (You couldn't have an attitude like that and not be

[Sorry for the delay! D:]Gai spun dramatically at the quiet greeting, instinctively adopting a defensive stance as he moved to face the source of the sudden sound. Of course, the approach of this person had not escaped his razor-sharp senses - he had simply been waiting for them to draw close enough to reveal their true intentions. "Excuse me" might seem like an innocent enough greeting, but a true ninja could never be too careful

Sai was somewhat surprised that the jounin knew his name, but he could have learned it through any number of means. The younger ninja had been with Team Kakashi long enough for that. "Correct." He bowed politely, straight to business the moment he raised his head again.
"It's something like that, Gai-san, and then not. There are many of us here. Kakashi-san should be arriving shortly, in fact. It will take some explaining, and he might be able to do a better job of that than me." Not that Sai couldn't explain if he wanted to. He'd done it plenty in the past - once a day or more at times. Kakashi knew this man's personality better than he did, however, and if there was one thing he didn't want to do, it was give Maito Gai the wrong idea

Recluse's lips curled back slightly into an irritated barring of teeth as he set about changing into his Arachnos uniform and readying a sword, knife, and his gun for the night, listening to Landel's prattling over the intercom. The insufferable bastard simply refused to keep quiet. He'd already built a profile of the man within the first week, he didn't need to hear any mediocre ranting.
He took out his sharpening steel and carefully rechecked the blades of his weapons while he waited, then put the tool back in its customary hiding place as the man began his obvious dénouement after the incredibly corny climax. He was out the door as soon as it unlocked, striding through the halls.
Phew! It hadn't been that long, and she hadn't gotten too lost along the way either. There hadn't been any of those monster Yuffie had shown them either, which was probably the greatest blessing. Closet rod or no, Aerith wasn't too sure how she would've handled herself against one of those things alone.
Smoothing the skirt of her dress down, Aerith reached up and knocked on the door. "Hello? Anyone home?" she called softly. If there was something hiding in the shadows, she didn't want to be the one to get its attention.

[ooc: timewarping that Tieria's already left.]It had been nice to meet up with a roommate who actually walked around and talked and did things, but by now Zack was ready to get out and do something. He still wasn't entirely sure what was going on this night, but he found that he didn't mind so long as he was with Aerith. With any luck Cloud would be there too, but he knew better than to expect too much. The kid (he wasn't really a kid anymore, was he?) was good at making himself scarce when he wanted to

[ooc: ahhhh sorry! should have asked before jumping all in your junk.]
"That's right! Your knight in shining armor," Aerith was happy to reply. Really, what would anyone do without her around to keep them straight? Of course she had Yuffie's maps and notes to thank, even if she hadn't gotten the chance to copy anything down. She had a fairly good memory and could only hope it would help them get to the staff recreational area.
"Hmmm... Looks like you didn't get your old clothes back," she mused, cupping her chin in her hand as she gave him a very obvious once over. It was easier to be casual now that the initial shock of seeing him had passed. Not that it wasn't still a hefty mixture of wonderful and strange to see him again like this. "That's too bad, but I guess the smiley face suits you."
"My heart is always yours for saving me," Zack returned with a slight incline of his head. Which didn't even out their heights, but he chose not to point that out. If Aerith wanted to take charge for once, he wasn't going to argue. While he still felt that need to protect, he could step into that role the moment they ran into any monsters. While he'd been lucky with Cissnei when it came to that last night, Zack wasn't going to assume he'd always get off easy

Leonard was out the door in a heartbeat, his mind on one thing- a note on his desk, his own handwriting, telling him to find a way out. He had no other questions- You learn to trust your own writing, he thought, his pace quick. You can't question everything when you're like this, even though it's your first instinct. I have to trust myself. My actions have meaning even if I can't remember them- I had a reason for writing this. I know why I have to get out.
