[from here] Momo really hoped Senna was going to just stay inside her room. She didn't want to worry about her but she couldn't help it. Hopefully, Hokuto would keep her safe. She would just have to place her faith in Hokuto.
The shinigami headed out into the main hallway.

Aah, now he was getting somewhere! His flashlight wasn't showing him anyone he cared about in the hallway, so he simply continued on his way.

It looked like the coast was clear. With the way Sync was acting today, Anise supposed she shouldn't expect to get bothered by him tonight. Still, she wanted to hurry and meet with Claude as soon as possible. If Sync ran into them at the meeting spot...
Well, Anise didn't know what would happen, but it would be an uncomfortable distraction at best, and a total mess at worst.
Walking a little faster now, Anise hurried down to the next hall.

Better.
This was much better. The hallway was at least twice as wide as the previous corridors so that could only be a good thing. It seemed rather empty, thankfully, as she swept her flashlight left and right rather poorly this time. Impatience was starting to rise above caution, but, as an evangelion pilot, the last thing the staff would want to do is risk injuring her over some nightly stroll through the clinic.
Feeling better over this strange situation, Asuka hugged the left side of the hall and strode briskly down the cool hallway toward a door she had spotted when her light had crossed over it.
She wasn't sure if the only sound in the hallway was her own pair of feet pattering across the tile, but it sure did make her stride that much quicker as she fixed squarely on the next door before her.

Didn't I already take two left turns. Before she got any closer to the set of doors that had been kept open (into another wing presumably), Asuka stopped and looked behind her. Didn't this mean she was back tracking?
Or was that three left turns? Urrrgh! How could people remember all this survival stuff?!
Getting herself under control, Asuka kept glancing back and forth, hoping her instinct would point her in the right direction, or a direction at all. Well, objectively speaking, the way she was going looked very similar to the hall she was in now. But behind her.... it did open up. Was that the better shot?
Well, the little pilot would find out, wouldn't she?
Glad no other living soul had caught her making a mistake and doubling back, she sped through the corridor, fueled by the need to just get out of these winding hallways and hopefully find someone of something that makes sense.

And she was back to the nearly empty hallways now. At least there were only a few more halls to get through before she reached Kurt's room. Then she wouldn't have to worry about being alone in dark and creepy corridors, wondering if any of those monsters she'd heard about were lurking nearby.
...Okay, bad timing on that thought, Kitty thought to herself, quickening her pace. Ugh, she seriously didn't want to think about anything like that right now. It would probably be best to just hurry on.

A single soul stood in the hallway, but since they appeared to be a standard deviation below the average height and weight class of what Sho considered a threat - incognito Composers notwithstanding - he didn't bother to give them more than a glance as he walked on by, his shovel clanking on the ground behind him.
