As the intercom switched on, the shuffling of papers was the first thing that could be heard rather than the voice of the Head Doctor. It seemed he had been going through a lot of them today, a fact which could perhaps be attributed to the fact that so many new patients had flooded the halls of Landel's on this particular afternoon

He couldn't sit still when he came into his room. He bounced slightly in his bed as he waited for his roommate to finally appear in the room. He hoped he was at least a little friendly. He looked at the other bed in the room. It was as plain as his own and gave no hint as to the character of the person he would be sharing his room with from now on.
His mother!
He still couldn't believe it. He needed to get serious about getting out of here, but not before he found out where they were keeping her.

"Hi," he said, smiling slightly because he wasn't sure how friendly this guy was. "I'm Ginji." He stood up to be polite and looked at the nurse as she brought in their separate dinners.
Food was automatically more important than new friends, not by much, but still more important. At least he paused to see if his roommate was going to offer him his name before attacking the fish.

He raised an eyebrow at the plate, impressed at the quality all things considered, but ultimately unimpressed at what it still was in the end. He hated fish. Not sure why; it was just one of those things. Hated the taste, hated the smell... But he knew he was going to get hell if he didn't eat properly; he'd been in enough hospitals to know how fussy medical personel were about those things, and it didn't help that his chosen form didn't give off the most properly nourished appearance. He forked a little piece, smelling it and appraising it one last time before asking the 'Ginji' guy,
"Hey, you want mine? I don't like fish."

"I demand to know what you did with my WIFE?!?" All he got in return was the sound of the door closing and locking behind them. He glared at the food and then threw it into the wall and stalked over to the bed he'd woken on.
There was a second bed... perhaps he could get some information out of whoever was slated to be imprisoned with him.

Instead, after she had left, he lashed out at the nearest object and, with a shout of rage, hurled his pillow at the door. "Damn you all!! Where is SHE?!?"
That had no effect, not that Faust thought it would anyway, but it did alleviate some of his frustration and he sat back down, looking this 'Daniel' over.
Young. Didn't have the look of a Shaman, which only cemented Faust's worry that he as far away from Patch Village. Damn it all to hell...
"My name is not Klaus," he said, voice soft and controlled, a direct contrast to his earlier actions. "I'm Faust. Johannes Faust the Eighth." At the least, he could try politeness. At least until he was certain this young man had had something to do with Eliza's disappearance.

"RC One-One-Three-Six," Darman said. "But it's fine with RC or Three-Six."
He measured up this Faust. He looked extremely thin, although it was difficult to tell if it was from a lack of nutrition or that was just typical for him - he looked thin enough that Darman could snap him in half if he so much as breathed wrong. Still, there was some kind of inner strength in him, appearances aside, and his fury over this missing "she" gave him second thoughts. He didn't doubt that he could overcome this roommate physically, but he wanted to at least find out who this "she" was and where his damn knives were.
Besides, better to gauge Faust's strengths and weaknesses before he kicked off a cellmate war that could result in someone with a knife between their ribs.
"Who's this 'she' you keep talking about?" Darman said. He closed his eyes as he had a bit of the 'trout'. It tasted glorious to a clone who wasn't ( ... )

He looked down. The smiley face beamed back up at him.
What the hell - ?!Before he could react to either his bizarre clothing or his apparent roommate's welcome, the door swung open again and two young women stepped inside, each carrying a tray of food. One of them placed her tray on the other man's desk. The other noticed Javert and smiled; he was strongly reminded of the face on his shirt - blank and emotionless ( ... )

Well, Javert was probably his name.
Mal was very much tempted to cut in, but he knew better than that. He hated staying quiet in the face of authority, especially when the authority was wrong (which it usually was), but the fact that nightfall would soon give him the chance to rebel assuaged him.
He sneered after the nurses as they took their leave, shaking his head. But when his roommate called him the completely wrong name (for one thing, he was by no means a monsieur, and for another, it was Reynolds, not Malcolm), he had to let out a laugh similar to the one Javert had expelled earlier.
"Hardly. Name's Malcolm Reynolds. And don't listen to a word they say. It's all gos se--" He paused and reconsidered. "Bullshit." He headed over to the desk. Even if he didn't like them, he was still allowed to eat their food.

Naminé normally just slept until she was awakened by the familiar sound of the locks clicking, but not tonight. She would have company tonight, and hopefully the other girl had made plans, because Naminé had no idea where she was going and didn't feel comfortable simply tagging along. Maybe she would wait and see if Luxord and Xigbar would attempt to find her again. Last time she chose to brave the night by herself... it didn't go very well.
The other girl wasn't in the room when Naminé arrived, so she just placed her tray of food on the desk at the foot of her bed and ate quietly. At the very least, the people here didn't leave them famished and at the mercy of the monsters here.

In any case, she hurried along to her quarters, mainly because she wanted the nurse to leave her alone.
Didn’t she have better things to do than follow her around?
Raven entered her room once she arrived, only to find that there was someone already inside. A young blonde girl…
“Who are you?”
Reply
"Um, hello, I'm Naminé. I guess I'm your roommate now," She introduced herself. The girl didn't seem amused, but she must have been new. Naminé didn't blame her.
"Did you find out anything during the day? Did anyone tell you about Nightshift?" She asked, just to get that taken care of. Naminé didn't want to bore the girl with details she already knew, after all. The sun was sinking fast and there wasn't much time before the night fell.
Reply
Well, she supposed that it wouldn’t be so bad if “Naminé” wasn’t the loud and obnoxious type.
“Raven,” she took the blonde’s hand and shook it before walking over to her bed. “No, I haven’t learned much yet. I just woke up a while ago…”
She looked at Naminé again once the subject of the ‘Nightshift’ was brought up. For it to be so popular among the patients, it had to be more than just a sad attempt at frightening newcomers. And yet, she doubted it being worse than the sights she had already witnessed during her 16 years of life.
“Only that I shouldn’t be alone during it, because apparently, monsters and mutated staff members wander the halls.”
