Teresa was supposed to be meeting Euphy where they had encountered each other the previous night, but considering the maps showed there was only one female section in the barracks, it seemed pointless to wait for the girl out in the hallway when she had to pass through this junction to get there. Still, she went to the door to the hallway and opened it. A quick look outside showed her only one other, the woman's stance more than enough to immediately identify her as someone other than the girl in question.

Leaving the door open, Teresa stepped back to lean against a nearby wall. She crossed her arms as she waited, silver eyes flickering toward even the slightest of movement.

Oh, thank goodness. Euphemia breathed a sigh of relief as she stepped out of the block and heard people moving through the halls. This was far, far better than the night before, and reassured her - things really would be all right. She could say that with more certainty now, even if...wait, had the halls just changed? That was strange, to say the least. She shook her head, and things were back to normal, though. I must be seeing things. Calm down.

She breathed a second sigh of relief when she saw Teresa, though - wait, what was that on her back? She blinked, thinking that it had to be pretty heavy, but didn't comment further. "Good evening."

Teresa shifted, the faint sound of metal moving against concrete accompanying it, and stepped away from the wall upon seeing the girl. There had been a few people coming through, one giving her a look that almost piqued her interest, but that had been expected. What hadn't been expected was how the ambient light around seemed to play tricks with her eyes.

"Euphy," the hybrid greeted. She looked the girl over. "Are you feeling alright?"

"I'm fine, Teresa," Euphy replied, with a nod. "I think my eyes were just playing tricks on me for a moment. It's nothing to be worried about." She turned, then, angling her flashlight towards the door.

"Thanks again for this," she said, with a smile. "I'd like to head over to the hall around room M35 - I know the clinic's not there now, but maybe one of the neighbors knows. And don't worry, I won't keep you long. Once I'm there, if I don't find anything, I'll head straight back. Promise."

Well, at least there was a person in the hallway, like there ought to be during nightshifts. None of that empty hallway shit that had maybe even kind of spooked her a little bit.

The immediate problem this time was that Alkaid found her mouth unexpectedly watering. Like the blonde woman leaning against the wall across the hallway had bones made of delicious graham crackers, that would crunch pleasantly in her mouth...

Dammit.

She couldn't look at anyone. And she'd have to calm the urge to snack. Granted, it was a little bit better than it was last night, and so was the pain and the rot that had spread across half her arm...

The door was open. Alkaid left.

It was a bit of a relief to pass another living soul as Suzaku went through the open door. He spared a glance for the tall blonde woman waiting by the wall, but didn't recognize her, so he quickly made his way to the far end of the hall. Yuffie's room was in the lower digits, so it would be at the end, just like she'd said.

[from here]For the first time in a while, Anise didn't hurry as she made her way into the next hallway. She didn't need to worry about beating the crowd, or holding up fellow club members. Instead, it was probably better if she took her time. Once everyone with important goals on their minds were off and on their way, it would mostly be aimless wanderers left in the patient block. She could probably find one among them that would be willing to go somewhere with her ( ... )

Everything was quiet down here too. One woman, someone Meche didn't recognize, was leaning against the wall, but otherwise Meche seemed to be the first one here. Good, she thought--maybe the monsters weren't out yet either.
