It'd been nice to talk with Subaru, if only to see that the young man was faring a little better than before. He seemed to have the worst luck and unfortunately, there wasn't always someone there to protect those that needed it the most. As he passed the Sun Room, there was still no sign of a post from Ururu either. Things didn't look promising

When she entered the lobby, there weren't many people around, and Anise immediately spotted Sync sitting way off in a corner. He had a visitor, too? That was a surprise. He didn't really have any friends, did he? What was even more surprising, though, was what the nurse did next: she led Anise straight to him.
"Why don't you take a seat next to Stephen here? Your visitor will be here soon."
Anise just stood and stared at the boy for a moment, then whipped her head around to snap at the nurse. "Wait, why him!? Can't I wait somewhere else?" The last thing she wanted was for Sync to be there when her parents came ( ... )

Occasionally there was a warmhearted exchange that made her smile, like when young Charles gave a present to Dolores and Stephen, and they began to talk to gether. They were adorable children, really. Seeing them made the difficulties of her job worthwhile.
Of course, just as she had thought that to herself, Stephen lashed out, squeezing his hands around Charles' neck in a horrifying choke hold. The nurse practically felt her limbs grow cold at the realization that Stephen was trying to kill his brother, but that didn't stop her from leaping into action ( ... )

The nurses made it there first. Though it was frustrating for those hags to be the ones to save Ion while she, his Guardian, was right there, Anise couldn't deny being glad that Sync was stopped as quickly as he was.
There was a moment of relief when his hands released their grip on Ion's throat, and Anise released a deep breath she hadn't even realized she was holding in the first place. She hovered by Ion in concern as he gasped - a horrible sound that only further drove home the fact that he was very nearly killed just moments ago. There was redness around his neck where the hands had been clenched. He definitely didn't look fine ( ... )

"I'm sorry I can't die for you, Stephen," he said, his voice still shy from the red fingerprints pressed into his throat. It burned and ached, and it would be a long time before the pressure of those markings healed and were forgotten. "I hope you get better." It was his soft dismissal, in a way; he nodded at the nurse holding the sagging Stephen, motioning to his own nurse to hold him in case he fell again. He supposed his parents had warned the Institute about his weak health before they had gone. It must have been important enough to tell them, but he did visit quite often...
Charles looked away from his brother once more, forcing a smile at Dolores to ease her troubles, even when his green eyes were about to spill over with tears. "I'm sorry, Dolores. I should have known that would push him over the edge."
