[running from here]

Halfway down the street Chise was panting heavily(she was never good at sports), running away from an angry not-bear.

"Fai...I think...we need...to..find...a place to..hide" she spoke out between huffs and puffs. At this rate, Kurogane will catch up to them in no time. She didn't want to think about what would happen if he

Kurogane was hot on their heels with no intention of slowing down. Uh oh. Chise couldn't keep up the pace for long and he wasn't sure he dared leaving her by herself. While she might get away with just a flick on the wrist, Kurogane seemed much more upset than usual about the rest.

He glanced side to side and saw there was little cover, "we should split up." That was the best idea right? If he had to pick one of them, he'd surely come after Fai, not Chise.

"I'm pretty sure he's after me," he said with a laugh.

Kurogane rounded the corner quickly, but he also brought down a trash can in the process. His last dodge of a pedestrian had left him no choice but to kick out the can from his path, and he knew it would alert Fai to what little time he had to make a decision. Kurogane knew full well that Fai was trying to think of how to get the girl out of the way so he wouldn't be slowed down.

"But...but," she protested. Both of them were responsible for the pictures, thus it would be fair if they received the upcoming punishment. "I...don't know...if that would--eek!" Chise let out a small shriek as she tripped over her clothes while running. Maybe now would be a good time for them to split up. It was inevitable that Kurogane would catch up to her, but Fai would have a bigger chance at escaping.

"I-I'm okay Fai, you go on ahead! Don't worry about me, I'll catch up soon."

Just as they were about to part ways and Yuuhi draw the fire, Chise tripped, slowing down considerably. He held on to her hand though and skidded to a stop to make sure she was alright. Well, he could dodge just as well as he could run, couldn't he?

He turned around, ready for Kurogane to catch up with them. It'd been a while since they'd had a fun little scuffle anyway. "Kuro-pin! You look so excited to see us!" He gave another nervous laugh.

Kurt had to give a hastily stifled laugh when he imagined Logan sitting behind someone's washer, eating cereal out of a box and glaring every once in a while. "Why was Professor Logan behind your washer? I realized he traveled a lot, but I didn't think that was one of his favorite spots to crash."

Hopefully Logan wasn't actually around to hear that... though Kurt looked around just to be certain he wasn't about to be chewed out. Coast seemed clear!

"Kind of," Kurt said, smiling. "I'm seventeen, but close enough, ja?" He grinned. "And thirty isn't old. Fifteen and seventeen is just too young to know any better, right Peter?" Kurt said, elbowing his friend playfully.

"No, no. Wait. This is a story I need to hear. Why was he behind your washer?" Matt couldn't wait for this one, and while there was the chance it wasn't the Logan he knew, it was still amusing to think about. He followed the boys mostly by sound, though he kept the cane tapping in front of him out of habit.

"And you two have to remember, I'm used to you both being closer to my age. Well, maybe not you Parker," he added. "You're still in your late twenties if I recall."
