Halfway down the street Chise was panting heavily(she was never good at sports), running away from an angry not-bear.
"Fai...I think...we need...to..find...a place to..hide" she spoke out between huffs and puffs. At this rate, Kurogane will catch up to them in no time. She didn't want to think about what would happen if he

Hopefully Logan wasn't actually around to hear that... though Kurt looked around just to be certain he wasn't about to be chewed out. Coast seemed clear!
"Kind of," Kurt said, smiling. "I'm seventeen, but close enough, ja?" He grinned. "And thirty isn't old. Fifteen and seventeen is just too young to know any better, right Peter?" Kurt said, elbowing his friend playfully.

"And you two have to remember, I'm used to you both being closer to my age. Well, maybe not you Parker," he added. "You're still in your late twenties if I recall."

Oi, Kurt had never run into anything that serious. He was starting to wonder what sorts of things Logan got up to when he mounted his motorcycle and drove off down the hill and out of sight. Obviously being shot sixty gajillion times.
"Man, that sounds serious. But Logan being hit by a broom..." Kurt had to snicker quietly at that. "Followed you home like a stray puppy, then whacked with a broom several times when he emerges--The Thing From Behind The Washer!" Kurt made appropriate spooky noises and gestures--after checking the street and surrounding area for the Wolverine himself, of course.
Kurt returned Peter's grin. "Yeah, seriously Matt. I hope you don't drop us on our heads or anything--we may not make it to be as awesome as you, otherwise."
He thought for a moment. "Man... I can't imagine what it'd be like for me to be thirty." Kurt looked back at Matt. "What am I like anyway?"

The idea of Logan hiding behind a washer and being hit with a broom was hilarious, but it did drive home the point about thie Peter and this Kurt being from a totally different reality than he was.
"Hm, well, the Kurt I know back home is very," he paused, thinking over his words carefully. "Calm. Mellow and a very good friend to have and be around." He'd gone to the mutant when he'd had moments of moral crisis, finding more comfort in the Nightcrawler's musings than in the church's hollow sounds. But he didn't say that outloud.

"Woah man," Kurt said, trying very hard not to laugh and failing. "You should find a lawyer Peter, that's child abuse or at least assault with intent to disable your proper motor skills."
He couldn't keep himself from laughing after that. It was just too much, honestly.
"Mellow huh?" Kurt pondered this for a few moments. "Guess I calm down or something. Maybe I need to get some like... medication for being high-strung. I'm so jumpy here. And back home too, I guess." He frowned and turned to Peter. "I dunno, do you think I'm too crazy?"

He shook his head at Kurt. "I don't think you're crazy or high-strung."
