As he got closer to the room, Teisel couldn't help but worry a little about the possibility of running into Van. Or rather, Van was probably worried about the possibility of running into him.

Yeah, that made more sense.

Good. This looked right. It was supposed to be the hallway immediately to her right if she got it straight. It was pretty quiet around here, too... Harley wasn't quite sure if this was supposed to be a good or bad thing. Not like she was going to sit around and think about it either. There was a room to find. Twiddling thumbs could come later.

Here at last. It seemed there was someone else stalking in the hallways, though it was not Grell, so X went back to carefully walking in the shadows without a sound. Hopefully the boy had not heard the singing...

Now it was time to wait once more. Hopefully Ms. Sutcliff would not take too long.

He was still limping a bit, but Grell tried his best to cover it up. If he still had all his powers, his hand and his ankle would have healed by now, but unfortunately, he did not and they still hurt. That didn't mean he was about to let Luxord see that, though. A lady had her pride and Grell had more than any lady he knew. He'd already thrown off the splint and left it in the hall in favor of keeping his gloves on, so why skimp on the shoes?

Standing at the entrance to his hall, Grell scanned the shadows until he saw one that moved. Walking over, Grell smirked and put a hand on his hip. The pillowcase was still in his other hand, hanging loosely from his fingers. "I hope I didn't keep you too long. My roommate had an unexpected visitor and I had to sneak out."

Evidently, he did hear his singing, as Luxord swiftly received a face full of flashlight despite his attempts at stealth. "Think nothing of it," he said as the boy moved past him, attempting to blink away the sudden bright spots plaguing his vision. Ugh.

On the good side of things, however, Grell was swift in his arrival, entering just as the other boy exited the opposite doors. "I will never mind waiting for you, my lady," the Gambler lied with a pleasant smile. "Whatever did you have in mind?"

Luxord said such beautiful lies. He could tell he'd been bored, but then Grell was never one to worry about time and all. When he showed up was usually when other people realized they'd reached the end of their rope, so he was certain most didn't mind him being a minute or two behind. Will, however, usually had words for him on the rare occasions that Grell didn't meet the schedule. Having words being the polite term for 'kicking someone in the face.'

Smiling pleasantly, Grell moved forward and swung his pillowcase nonchalantly over his right shoulder. "I know it's a bit early, but there's a chance to get back at the rapscallion who hit you last night - if indirectly, and in a much worse way than he could ever imagine. He has that boyfriend of his coming through here to 'nurse him back to health' tonight. I thought a little bit of play might make the evening worth a few laughs. Then we could move on to..." Grell smirked and winked at Luxord. "Better things. Are you game?"

Okita didn't hesitate in this hall, even though there were others in it. He didn't have his flashlight on so he didn't think he'd attract any attention anyway. Then again, he was wearing the sky blue of the Shinsengumi, but by now most people were probably used to seeing him running about like that.

After confirming that the area was safe, Okita moved on to the next hall.

As Guy made the short trip down the connecting hallway, he thought over tonight's strange intercom announcement. It had been out of the ordinary, that was for sure, but whether or not it meant something was another matter entirely. He got the feeling that sometimes the Head Doctor just put on a show to try and confuse them.

What was this box that he had mentioned, for instance? Was it a clue, or just something that was meant to get them thinking too hard about nothing? Guy had to admit he was getting suspicious of Landel's theatrics.

He was pulled out of his thoughts when he saw what looked to be two men standing very, very close to each other. It was interesting to see something like that when he had just been speaking to Luke about this very thing, and he wondered if one of the nearby patients was the one who had spoken to his friend. Probably not, though, since Guy had gotten the feeling that whoever it was was closer to Luke's age ( ... )
