Well, there was no point putting off the inevitable. Taking a deep breath to steady himself, Teisel stepped out into the hallway and started out toward Zex's room, focusing on his mental map of the institute and hoping he wouldn't run into anything unpleasant.
Akihiko nodded a quick goodbye to Heiji, then set off down the hall. He wanted to get out early tonight, in order to take out any potential hindrances in the Sun Room and/or make plans to move to the rec field if need be.
Satisfied she'd made her walk nice and short, even after being waylaid and kissed (admittedly, her head was still somewhat fuzzy and her cheeks still felt red, but on the whole, she felt good!). Miku adjusted her bag again and knocked on Subaru's door. "Sumeragi-san? Are you awake?"
Subaru had, in fact, been asleep since shortly after lunch, but the knock on his door woke him where the various intercom announcements had failed to do so--the announcements had become familiar sounds, at this point, and Subaru had managed to sleep right through them as a result.
Jerking awake suddenly proved to be a bad idea, considering Subaru's wounds, so it was a moment before he recovered his breath and managed to get up to answer the door. "Hinasaki-san. I'm glad you made it safely."
"I'm lucky; it wasn't a far walk at all." Which was strange - didn't the block above hers house rooms that went from one to fifty not too long ago? Miku gave Subaru a rather concerned look. "Are you sure this is okay? You don't look so well..."
Well, that was the understatement of the century. Subaru's wounds far outweighed her own, and while she was finally getting peppy enough to slowly walk to the next block, he looked like he'd run a marathon just getting to the door.
"Yes, I remember that the women's rooms are just the next block down." Subaru blushed a little and looked sheepish, realising how bad that sounded. "Ah, the one who made my ritual knife, we met in her room, so that's why I..." Yes. Ahem.
Subaru didn't bother trying for a smile, at the moment, being well aware of how awful he probably looked. "Yes, this is no problem. I sat up too suddenly when I woke from my nap, that's all. It's better I have something to do that doesn't involve going out and running around, anyway." Subaru was not well-suited to extended periods of idleness--he'd doubtless do something stupid like go out if he didn't have something else to do.
Harry had eaten his dinner quietly, barely acknowledging his roommate's presence. He was going to see Peter again soon and that was all he could think of. Even if it wasn't his Peter, he was close enough. He had to remember to warn him about Brock, to make sure the bastard couldn't catch Pete unaware before Harry could take care of him
( ... )
It took a few minutes to get dressed once they'd finished dinner, or at least stared at dinner until it was no longer appetizing. He wasn't too sure where he'd be going tonight, but he had to at least get the syringes to Homura. Since it wasn't that much further to Kurogane's room, maybe he could just stick around long enough to make sure she'd gotten there alright.
He said his goodbyes to Allie, cautioning him to be careful until the medicine wore off, then Yuuhi was gone, out the door.
