"What fume-addled asshole of an architect designed this labyrinth of dicks?" spat Spider, nearing his destination. "If all the nurses were in my cellblock, and someone set this cellblock on fire, it would take fucking FOREVER to ..." Spider pulled open the door to the next interminable hallway. Hm, well, here was the northern hallway... Joshua had been told to wait in the main hallway, next to the stairs by the men's block, and so he would do. He just hoped that the other boy would make it on time; the last thing he wanted was yet another disappointment. So why did he get the uneasy feeling that this was exactly what was going to happen?

Argilla moved quickly along the next corridor, intending to dart through the Recreational Field and into the next corridor along.

There had been some confusion on the bulletin when he'd been telling Peter where he'd meet him, and Brooklyn could only hope he'd actually gotten his message across. (Especially with that bit about doors. There were no doors at the end of this hall. What was he thinking?) But really, it wasn't his fault this place was so confusing on its own.

The darkness seemed worse tonight, or maybe it was just that his mind kept wandering and he was walking on near autopilot. He knew the hallways by now, had studied the maps and could remember each turn and twist of the corridors as if he'd walked them a thousand times. He'd made a point of remembering where the office of his doctor was, and there were others that he could look into as well. Wouldn't it be nice to destroy them all? To set the building on fire and watch it burn like he'd watched the military facilities burn.

He smiled slightly at the thought. It wasn't a happy expression.

It was slow going, what with the dark. And loathe as she was to admit it, Mele stepped carefully to avoid tripping. Because of her caution, she was falling into the habit of lifting her heels, the result of which she had to work not to stumble every other step when her heel came down and continued down, not expecting something to not be there ( ... )
