This part of the hallway seemed rather empty, almost unnervingly so after the amount of traffic they'd passed so far. Apparently this end of the building wasn't quite so popular. Or perhaps people just hadn't made it this far - even though Ayumu knew they'd delayed for a while downstairs and then hadn't exactly been moving that fast on the way up.
Though it had been Mello himself who'd been discussing on the board about the odd nature of time in this place. It was like the mention of monsters that she'd accepted and now entirely believed; it seemed he was telling the truth. Ayumu would have to pay some attention to that now and in the future.
She kept her light off for now, though, until someone told her to turn it back on. It wasn't as though darkness was entirely unfamiliar to her, and supposedly being scared it gave her the pretext to reach out and rest a hand on Robin's arm - just lightly, as though making sure she didn't get lost.
Matt gave a bit of a start at the feeling of Sen's hand on his arm. He didn't jump, but he very obviously tensed. She shouldn't rely on him for anything. He couldn't actually do much to protect her.
He found himself taking a mental re-evaluation of things, though. Surely he'd be able to at least give her enough time to run to safety... if any place here really could be considered safe...
