And to her right, there were other doors as well, which she had vaguely noticed earlier in the day but paid no mind to. Oh decisions, decisions. Should she

Down the way Kvothe said there were monsters. Clark was on edge as he led the way, feeling his shoulders tense up as he moved past. There were people fighting the things, just as the other guy said, and he couldn't yet tell if they needed help - even if they did, he wasn't really sure he would be of much use.

As they neared the hallway, Kurogane realized that there had been a fight recently, but not one that left blood splattered all over the hallway. Not like he'd seen before. That didn't mean they were going to linger though.
The doors to the Sun Room were open, and after approaching them, he paused and finally looked completely back at the two. "You're both sure?" he asked one last time. There was usually something beyond these doors, so if they wanted into the Arts and Crafts room, that something would need dealt with.

"I'm sure. I'll be careful, and I'll stay close to both of you. And if you think the danger's too great to keep going...I'll listen." She was being honest with herself, and honest with the others. She didn't want anyone else getting hurt on her account.

She didn't need to be asked if she was sure, though. Ururu wanted to help however she could, so the choice was easy for her to make. "I'm sure too." She nodded when Shiki made her promise, silently agreeing to do the same. Or at least to try to. Kurogane didn't seem to think Ururu could do much though, so that might get tricky.
She didn't say that just then, though. Somehow, Ururu didn't think he'd be too happy if she did.

As he'd thought, they were just as stubborn in the halls as in the room, but he couldn't help but linger on the response Shiki had given. She's listen, would she? That would be a first then.
Ururu hadn't promised the same, but he expected her to follow Shiki's lead at least. She liked being stubborn too though, so he couldn't hope for much.
Sighing, he turned towards the doors and headed through.

There was a dead monster in the middle of the hall, and Miku wrinkled her nose, skirting around it and trying to concentrate on the thrum that she was following. "It's here." She looked at the Sun Room and felt her heartbeat quicken. Whoever it was, they weren't good. Miku reached for her camera, and hoped that she could take the photos without being noticed.

He blanched, thinking that if he picked Miku up and ran, they could still avoid danger. He had a very, very bad feeling about the room.
"Alright. We move in quickly, move out quickly once we've investigated," he looked to the door before she could answer. "Go!"

No sign of anyone yet. No Naruto, no Sasuke, no Sai, and not even the always-late Kakashi had shown up. Sakura turned her light back off, letting her eyes adjust to the darkness as she waited.
Just where were they anyway? If they had all ditched her, someone was gonna pay!

Apparently it was later in the night than Sasuke had thought. Perhaps because the smell was different, Sasuke didn't detect any traces of blood until he'd stepped in it -- or at least he thought it was blood. It was a little too viscous (mixed with something?) but whatever the case, it was clear there had already been conflict here.
Unlike two nights ago, though, Sasuke didn't flinch. He lowered the sword briefly and prodded out until he found the body of whatever had been killed here. Tracing the contours with the tip of the blade, he determined that it wasn't human, frowning.
A monster killed already. Sasuke was probably the late one.
He sure as hell wasn't looking forward to hearing Naruto's taunts on the subject. With irritation, he resumed walking along the hall towards the door. If they were here, it'd be impossible for them to ignore him anyway, predictable as they were.

"Sasuke-kun," she said quietly, not wishing to startle him. She would have loved to say that she was the one that had taken out the monster, that she could be useful, but she'd only been there to collect the reward after. She'd killed a similar beast last night, all on her own, but it did little good now.
"No one else has come yet," she let him know, hoping that he wouldn't be upset by her help. "I read on the bulletin, that creature... it's blood has healing properties. I collected some. I don't need it, but if you want, I thought it might be useful." Useful. That word again. As much as she hated the thought of only being useful, she was just as frightened that she wouldn't be useful at all, and that would be even worse.

It seemed that there was little end to the surprises, though the monster Kakashi saw dead in the distance wasn't nearly so disgusting as the one he'd left behind. More importantly were the two people standing by it, and the fact that there were only two. Being late was Kakashi's habit, not Naruto's. It was a little concerning, since he doubted anything would stop Naruto from meeting up with Sasuke.
For now, he kept his distance, staying near the wall where he could overhear, but not immediately be detected. He didn't want his presence to impact how the others acted, since the whole point of his absence was to force Naruto and Sakura to decide for themselves just how to deal with Sasuke's attitude.

Lust sighed, eyes scanning the handful of people in the corridor. No familiar faces, at least none she had any desire to approach. Despite her temperament and moods, she often enjoyed working with a companion. If only for the conversation.
Perhaps she should have simply proceeded as usual, and wandered over to the men's wing. She could have found Luxord again. She certainly didn't mind spending her nights with him....
Well, either she'd find someone or she'd spend the night on her own. She'd done it before, she'd do it again.

Dias had no specific plans for the night beyond making for the basement; he'd checked on Ashton's room, of course, and turned up nothing, so he was on his own. It didn't bother him in the least; he was used to working alone, and only particularly competent individuals could have accompanied him without slowing him down.
When he saw Lust, the possibility of traveling with her didn't actually occur to him immediately - more that he simply wanted to touch base with her; even with Scar gone as their main mutual connection, he still felt as though there was some sort of tenuous bond between them - but if it had, he still wouldn't have objected. From what he'd seen, she definitely fit into the 'particularly competent' category.
So, rather than simply stalking past her as he did with so many others, he approached her directly, giving her a slight nod. "Lust." They didn't often see each other; it was good to know that nothing had happened to her (well, nothing immediately apparent) since he'd seen her last.

"I'm surprised to see you unaccompanied." She voiced her thoughts, leaning against the wall. "Though I suppose I've no room to speak, as I'm on my own as well."
