Ack! Totally forgot it was my turn to move. My bad.

The scene must have been bothering Forte more than he let on, because almost as soon as Teisel was done speaking, the kid darted through the door. Well, Teisel didn't need any encouragement to follow.

Ah, that was much better. It was going to take a while for the nausea to subside, but at least he didn't have to look at or smell that thing anymore. Teisel took a deep breath of meatless air and looked around. It was...a waiting room? Why? He passed his flashlight over the walls. Chairs and more chairs, a few cheap-looking tables, and old magazines, none of which had titles he recognized. It was just a waiting room.

"Why would they have a waiting room? Is there an evil dentist practising here or something?"

There wasn't much use staying in here. Teisel walked to the other door, no longer questioning why they all were unlocked, and went through to the next room.

Judging by the barely-comfortable furniture and lack of other interesting features, Kaku guessed this was a waiting room of some kind. Which meant the front door was close.

And while pretty empty, there was one thing that really caught his interest- The magazines. Depending on the type and content, they could give him clues towards the date and his location.

Any hope he had, however, was shot down as he read them. He didn’t recognize any of their titles, they'd been handled so many times their print was starting to fade, and the dates he could recognize didn't make any sense ( ... )
