Judging by the barely-comfortable furniture and lack of other interesting features, Kaku guessed this was a waiting room of some kind. Which meant the front door was close.
And while pretty empty, there was one thing that really caught his interest- The magazines. Depending on the type and content, they could give him clues towards the date and his location.
Any hope he had, however, was shot down as he read them. He didn’t recognize any of their titles, they'd been handled so many times their print was starting to fade, and the dates he could recognize didn't make any sense.
Frowning slightly, he picked up one of the magazines anyway. Just because he didn’t recognize it, didn’t mean it couldn’t tell him anything. He rolled it up and stuck it in his pocket, though half of it still hung out awkwardly. Hm. He was going to need to find or make some kind of bag if he was going to make future supply-runs...
He noticed now that the other door was ajar. Had another patient already come through here?
Silently, he pushed the other door open and slipped into the room.
