Nightshift 35: F21-F30 Hallway

Sep 20, 2008 16:19

Okay, so the day more or less completely sucked. The only consolation Toph had was in regards to the conversation with Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan and the upcoming meeting with Renamon for her file and possessions. That is, if she could even find the woman. Renamon never got a chance to tell her the location of her room; the staff had intervened too ( Read more... )

With pipe filled sheet over one shoulder, Beatrix stopped at the door to F30. She looked down the hallway a moment before she knocked on the door. As she waited, she shifted her weight and the long blue broom skirt she was still wearing caught on the handle of the knife she had taped to her leg. With a mild look of annoyance, she leaned down to smooth it out.

Ururu hadn't talked during dinner. She'd had fun for most of the day, but at the end, it looked like Kurogane got in trouble with the staff, and that wasn't good. Ururu wanted to go check on him now that it was night time, but she didn't know where Kurogane's room was. She could check on Orihime and Shiki and Fai-san though, and that was good.

But just as the little girl was getting ready to go, someone knocked on the door. Thinking that it might be one of her friends come to check on her, Ururu answered it. The person wasn't anyone she recognized though. Just a tall woman who looked kind of like Jinta-kun did when he wanted to play baseball instead of doing chores.

"Um, hello." Ururu didn't know what this woman wanted, however. It wasn't too bad though; more like greeting a customer at the shop. "Can I help you?"

Beatrix looked up from adjusting her skirt and blinked. She had not been expecting to see a child that looked even younger than Hanyuu in this prison. A moment later and she smiled.

"Hello," she replied. "I'm looking for Skuld. Is she here, honey?"

A child like this should be at home playing on the swings, not fending off monsters. She was really going to enjoy killing Martin Landel.

Ururu felt better when the woman smiled. She looked nicer that way, or at least less angry, and that was a good thing. When she asked about Skuld, Ururu nodded, pointing to where her roommate was. "Skuld-san. There's a woman here for you."

Ururu pulled the door open wider, stepping to the side so the new woman could get by. She'd have to leave soon to find everyone, but for now she also wanted to be polite. Besides, she couldn't get by while the lady stood in the doorway, and Ururu didn't mind going through second instead of first.

Falis was in a good mood when she left her room, still wearing the red pants and the tight white tank. Her hair was still in the French braid though wisps of hair had come loose from it and she had a fine sheen of sweat on her skin from the sparring with Senna. Flirting and fighting with her roommate had been a whole lot of fun, especially since either Senna didn't mind the flirting. Granted, it wasn't like she was going to jump her roommate; she had another for that.

One who was right next door.

She had a couple stakes hanging loosely about her hips from her braided sheet bandoleer and a spear in hand when she knocked on Hokuto's door. Her breathing was steady, but it was clear she'd been involved in some recent physical activity and she was rather satisfied at the moment. It never crossed her mind what that might look like to her girlfriend.

Hokuto had been two steps away from the door anyway, so she opened it in all of half a second. "Hey," she smiled. She'd been expecting Falis, since the princess needed her sword and all--although one eyebrow went up at the sight of her. "Have I missed anything?" She wasn't jealous so much as wanting to know what she'd missed.

...okay, jealous too, but it wasn't likely Falis and her roommate had been doing much of anything, for a couple of reasons. Anyway, she wasn't sure she had the right to ask Falis to do more than keep the flirting with other people to a minimum.

Falis' lips curled up and she reached a hand out to trail her fingers up Hokuto's arm. "Oh, I had quite the go around with Senna. She's got a lot of skill," the blonde replied, her eyes lazily tracing over the other girl's form.

Hokuto pouted, an expression she generally didn't use for real. "And you had to do it when I couldn't join in?" That just wasn't fair...

This was so not the time, Signum would seriously be here any second, but... she was still a teenage girl with her first lover.

Now that was fun. It lifted her spirits enough to decide that she definitely was gonna meet this guy. His room was M23, right? Shouldering the spear, and after glancing into the hallway and seeing how dark it was, the flashlight, Senna started off. The male ones were the next hallways, right?

A wooden spear, of sorts, that had once been the handle of a cleaning implement. A metal pipe, small enough to be held in one hand but heavy enough to leave a good dent if swung well. And a box cutter, tucked into her waistband, a last secret weapon that'd hopefully not be an issue at all.

Paltry, but an improvement over the flashlight and pens. Seiya tucked her pipe under one arm to carry the flashlight, and headed out into the main women's hallway for her meeting. Hopefully this would go as smoothly as possible, and her last thoughts wouldn't be how Taiki and Yaten could have predicted a double-cross...

Celes waited for the doors to unlock and dressed in her proper clothing. Her new knife was slipped into her pocket, and after making sure she wasn't missing anything particularly pertinent, she slipped from her room and hurried to the rendezvous point. If she was later, Archer would have room to doubt her abilities and Celes wasn't about to allow such a blow to her ego.
