Once they were free of the institute and outside the walls, it still felt kind of scary, but it was a breath of fresh air.  The going was a little tough in some places, rocky and mountainous as it was and she just knew that she was going to start building up a very unladylike sweat any moment.  Gross.  Luckily, it wasn't long before ( Read more... )

Bridget frowned. This was ... interesting. It looked like a ... quarry. Why was it here?

Where did the materials go? He looked around, thinking that perhaps there would be a road somewhere that might lead away.

The Star Dragon Sword glanced around him as he took in the quarry area. There were a number of contraptions he had never seen before, and he idly wondered just how advanced this world was in comparison to his. There were a number of things different and more advanced within the institute, but it wasn't until he caught sight of his area that it truly hit the Night Rune.

"What is this area for?" He gruffly questioned while taking in the quarry. He'd never seen anything quite like it.

"I think they were digging for something, or maybe building something," Kagura guessed, circling around the edge of the hole. Ladders led down deeper into the pit, but she wasn't sure that going down there was a very good idea. Though it did look like there was some kind of shack down on the first level.

Skirting the area with her flashlight, she noticed there was a crane, obviously broken, its neck was broken in two, but more importantly, as she shined her light around the quarry, she saw that there was an old vehicle too! Did it still run? "H-hey, I think there's a truck!"

She didn't wait for the others to respond, but started running toward it, hoping the thing was still running. If they could drive away, that would be so much faster. If they got far enough, they'd have to be able to escape, they'd just have to!

"It's a quarry, where they-" Bridget was cut off when the light hit the truck and he frowned.

That seemed too easy. So, of course, when Kagura started for it, he had to head after her, trying to watch his step in the dark. "Miss Sohma!" It could be dangerous!
