The doors had unlocked, and Albel the Wicked didn't waste any time with moving out into the hallway. It was still early, so no one was around just yet. Not that the warrior was going to complain about that

The vampire had plenty of suspicious glances to go around, and he split his radio and the source of the intercom. Four brainwashed people… it’d been awhile since the fool had provided an actual number, and he noted it idly.
Ignoring the rest, Aidou waited until Kaito was long gone until he went about his usual routine. Although he’d checked on his uniform and last night’s prize that morning, he still found it both unnerving and aggravating that his Night Class uniform had been miraculously repaired. He tugged at the sleeve of the shirt while it hung on its hook. Did these opponents ever stop meddling with anything? The answer was no. Violation seemed to be enjoyed too much. Without further hesitation, he changed into the pants and button up shirt, leaving the inner vest and jacket behind

Allen had been late to dinner, so perhaps it was a good thing he'd told Rukia he'd be a bit slow. As long as she didn't run across Tyki or Rhode, then things would be alright, wouldn't they? It felt odd not to go bolting out of his room when the doors unlocked, but he waited, patiently gathering his things, then sat on the bed for a few moments. When it felt like enough time had passed, he snuck out the door and hurried on down the hall.
Edgeworth had a plan and every intention of sticking to it, and the path was familiar. As such, he didn't even bother to click on his flashlight as he moved from his room out to the hallway.
Shana let herself be tugged willingly along, although she cast a reluctant glance over her shoulder at the embracing pair with a wistful glance before she quickly tugged the door closed behind her, turning to grin at her brother instead. Still swept away by relief, she threw her arms about his neck, hugging him tight.
"I knew it would be alright. Somehow. But oh, Fire and Rain! I'm so glad he's alright!"
"We can do that," Shana agreed, pulling back with a sheepish laugh as she released her brother. "Sorry about that. We can take a break tonight. I can hunt tomorrow."
She glanced down the hall the way she'd come. "I'm all turned around. I'll follow you back, unless my room is closer?"
It was some time before Mikami decided to finally get a move on. He had paced the room for a while, going over the small amount of supplies he had available and wondering which ones would be worth taking. The flashlight was a certainty- not only had Yagami mentioned it, but as soon as he went to the bed and pulled it out, he recognized what had been meant by it serving as a defensive tool. Other than that...
As much as he hated leaving it behind, it probably wasn't a good idea to take along his journal, so after some fretting over removing another page, he carefully ripped a page out, clipped it with two pens, then put the journal under the covers, smoothing them out as to look inconspicuous.
He flicked on the flashlight and stepped out into the hall, taking a few seconds to move the beam back and forth down the hall. Ignoring some people farther along, he started off in the direction he remembered from being led along with the nurse. The startings of a plan, at least for the time being, were beginning to form in his head.
