Unlike Ion, who appeared to be physically strained after running for two blocks straight, Sync managed to keep his pace without breaking a sweat. In fact, he was more annoyed by the fact that, even when giving his all, the Fon Master still proved to be as weak as ever. However, he didn't bother to point out this obvious bit of information, instead contenting himself by watching as the latter went about knocking on the door before checking inside.
"Surprise, surprise," Sync muttered, not really 'surprised' by any of this. So Anise had really gone and left Ion alone after all? It really did serve him right for clinging so tightly to his belief that his guardian would never leave him.
The God-General knew that, in the end, the only person he could trust was himself, feeling no remorse for the other replica as he leaned against the doorframe.

"She didn't even leave a note. What a shame."
