For a moment, Renamon paused. That was more unsettling than she'd care to admit. She needed to get out of here ( Read more... )

Tch. Like Alkaid cared about all of the stuff going on on the intercom right now - even though the thought of the hacked mainframe made her inwardly gleeful. She'd seen those walls when she was out there, hadn't she? Yeah, that seemed like a good place to go.

When she checked under her pillow for her flashlight today, though, there was nothing there. Nothing! At all. Not even a little note that said someone had taken it. She eyed the lump in the other bed, considering waking Sleeping Beauty up, but nah. She didn't wanna deal with that.

Oh, that was it. She'd dropped it. Last night, when she was attacked...

Alkaid's hand subconsciously drew up to her neck. Damn, that had been pretty bad. She hadn't seen Claire or Clark today, or even that stupid Badou.. Claire had lived through the night, right? Alkaid sure hoped so. That would suck if she'd just let someone die in front of her. Even though Clark had seemed okay, from how he was shouting.. Heh. All because of her idea, too ( ... )

Misa jolted at the knock outside her door and slowly drew back from her silent appraisal of the equally silent Harley. The other woman hadn't spoken to her since the start of dinner and no matter how much Misa tried to comfort or cajole or understand what had thrown her roommate into such deep depression (Misa shuddered imperceptibly. Just what did they do to her, exactly?) she couldn't get anything out of Harley. Nothing! Not a single thing!

What upset her the most about that was the thought of what Light would say. If Harley didn't want to talk, Misa should have thought of something to say to get her to do it anyway. Oooh, what would Light say?

She almost instinctively knew that the one knocking on the door was Light and, strangely enough, her failure at getting anything out of Harley made this less of a comfort than it should have. If that was him at the door though, then at the very least he wasn't so badly injured that he couldn't walk around. Still, had she really lost that much time trying to talk to her roommate? She'd been ( ... )

Misa watched Light carefully, doing and seeing exactly as he wanted. She judged him not all that upset at her and slowly eased her guard of the door.

"She's depressed and really quiet. Mostly just staring blankly. She didn't even look at me when I tried to talk to her." Misa's lips pressed together, a little irritation showing through her own worried frown. Oh! Why did Harley have to start acting like this? Right when she could've helped Light with something, too! Argh. How frustrating...

"I didn't really get to see her all day, but I wouldn't be surprised if she'd been like that since this morning. It seems like she's been quiet for a long time." And Misa couldn't image any reason why Harley would suddenly grow that depressed in the middle of the afternoon. There was nothing worse than Special Counseling (whatever that was) that could have triggered anything else... right? Misa wished she'd spoken to Harley more, just so she'd have something to give to Light.

The voice on the radio was what woke her up, and MOMO yawned before sitting up and groggily rubbing a hand over her eyes. She really wasn't sure why she had been so tired today. Sure, last night had been terrifying, but she hadn't even been hurt. It likely had to do with being up night after night, constantly trying to figure a way out of this place.

She considered lying down for a while longer and was prepared to do just that, before she suddenly remembered she was supposed to be somewhere right now.

"Oh, no!" Shaking her head to rid herself of the lingering fatigue, the realian quickly jumped off the bed. She wasted little time in changing into her usual outfit, and then quickly retrieved the key from its hiding place. With that done, she exited the room and ran down the hall as quickly as possible. She didn't want to risk running into another ghost again tonight, after all, and she wanted to meet up with Homura and the others before making them wait any longer.

It had been naive to think that, after spending a day in this place, she would wake up back home in her own bed. Regardless, it had been that bit of hope that had caused her to spend the later part of the day in her room, and Fleur couldn't help but feel disappointed--and more than a little frustrated--when she awoke to the same darkness she had the previous night ( ... )

The corridor was deserted when Ami exited her room. Scanning the dark area, there was nothing to indicate where Anise might have been taken. Biting her lip, Ami hurried down the corridor. Perhaps Usagi would help her...if she hadn't been taken too. Ami pushed the horrible thought away as she rounded the corner.
