Max slipped out of her room, already prepared and equipped for a continuation of last night's mission. Crowbar, flashlight, and radio all on her person, she paused to glance up and down her hall before turning to her right and heading to the pre-arranged meeting place where she was to wait for Thursday and Renji.

Heading here.]

She hadn't seen Valyn, Shadow, or Keman in days, and wasn't sure what they were up to tonight, and she hadn't sensed any of their magic just yet. Maybe they were all staying in again? She sighed, debating on what to do before she lifted a hand and called a tiny flicker of magelight to dance in her palm. Sending it to hover just above her head, she left it there, the melody of her magic faint, but if anyone was listening for her, they'd be able to find her.
That done, she tightened her grip about her pole and started off for the center of the building. Maybe she'd have better luck at finding animals to hunt tonight...

The promise of a "gift" on the intercom sounded like a trap. She hoped nobody would get hurt trying to follow the clue. Oh, maybe that was something she could do: try to help those deceived by the wicked Head Doctor! But she still wanted to beat up monsters, find brainwashing victims, heal the injured, and...
The duties of an Ally of Justice were numerous indeed!
She needed somewhere to start, though, so the princess decided to meet with Zelgadis first. Taking a moment to cast a Lighting spell, Amelia set off into the night with the little glowing sphere hovering after her.

Even if she did have a flashlight, the princess couldn't help but feel a little tense waiting alone in the dark. She wondered how long she'd be like this... She found herself leaning slightly out of the doorway. She couldn't leave, but a little peek couldn't hurt, right?

She was close, he was familiar enough with her magic to recognize it as he neared her room. There was no sign of Kurogane yet, so he limped over and knocked on the door before pushing it open. What kind of face should he show her? He'd no idea how much she knew already, so it was difficult to say.
He settled for a thin smile as he greeted her, "Princess? Are you here?" He already knew the answer, but asked anyway, hoping it didn't seem suspicious that he'd been the first one to her room.

"Ah, yes!" she responded. "Please, come in."

"Princess I..." he started. "About what you said earlier... something about... a curse?" He could always hope that it was something else, that maybe it was something they'd run into further along on their journey, or...
Yuuhi couldn't quite bring himself to meet her eyes. He sat on the edge of the nearest bed, looking down at his hands, folded carefully in his lap. "Could you tell me what happened?"

She glanced both ways before joining the flow of people. She had somewhere to be, if only she could figure out exactly where that somewhere was.

Didn't matter. She'd meet Kagura and make sure things were alright. And then, plotting would commence.

There was a knock on her door and Kagura smiled, hurrying to answer it. She was a little surprised to see Winry there, instead of Bridget, but she greeted the girl with a warm smile. "I'm glad to see you're ok!" she said honestly. "I didn't expect you to come so quickly."

And after all, she was the brilliant young automail mechanic of Rizenbul; she could probably figure out something to break them out before sunrise. She wasn't in the least bit tired, after all.

It had taken a bit longer than he'd planned, but Bridget made it to Kagura's door without running into any problems. He was still a bit sore, but Roger was a comforting weight in his arms and he did his best to draw himself up and look ... well, not hurt.
He heard another voice inside the room, so he knocked politely, not wanting to intrude.
