He couldn’t help but find himself smirking smugly as fond memories sprouted from those thoughts, wiping at his cheeks as if Anise’s tears were still smeared all over his

Shion continued to move, only vaguely realizing that there was someone else in the hallway with her. She was used to the sound of footsteps following her wherever she went.
There appeared to be something up ahead - or, at least, something that looked like a large door. It looked promising to the teenager, and so she continued on her way, moving towards the door in hopes of it maybe leading to the outside.
If only she could get outside! That way she would be able to see if they were anywhere near Hinamizawa. It had been July when she had died, that much she remembered. If it were still summer … would that mean she was close to her home? Naminé had said that she probably wasn’t near her home, but what did that little girl know? Shion couldn’t help but growl at the thought of the young girl, her grip on the chair that she held on her forearm tightening. She didn’t know anything … she didn’t know anything …
Without a second thought, Shion continued on her way.

Renamon entered the Main Hallway, and immediately moved to the opposite wall. She moved down it, her weight balanced on the balls on her feet, soundless. Finding the stairway she needed, on the corner of two halls, she crouched in the shadows there and waited.
[Waiting for the puppy to find her.]

She heard a slight scrape somewhere in the next hall. Another patient, or something else? Her flashlight beam passed close enough for her to see a pair of very human-looking feet up ahead. She hesitated then moved off in the opposite direction despite the danger. The person wasn't going anywhere, so he or she was probably waiting for someone or heading back. She didn't want to interrupt them.
What she didn't notice in her hasty retreat was that there was a second person by the stairs. When her flashlight beam swept across Renamon, she let out a startled gasp trained it back on the woman. She'd already began moving into a defensive position before she realized it was just the way the woman sat, along with the weird shadows and light that had confused her. Orihime turned slightly red.
"I-I'm so sorry." She stuttered, bowing and turning the flashlight away. "I thought you were something else and I just - I'm sorry."

"It's fine," she said lowly. "Are you alright?"

She glanced around, then back at the woman. "Ah..are you out all alone tonight? It's pretty dangerous even if you're really strong."

Here we go. Clark took a breather before he went on. He wasn't actually physically tired, but getting all up in arms and worried about everyone and anything was pretty draining, whether it was wondering if he'd get attacked and what he'd do ("what if I hurt someone again?") to where he should go next and his chances on getting lost. Super-direction didn't exactly go hand in hand with super-strength here.
Having a map on hand was one thing. It was another entirely to try to navigate with it through Landels at night.
[Unknowingly waiting to be bumped into by Claire]

Claire stepped into the much larger corridor and paused, shining her flashlight up and down the hall, trying to recall the path she'd come down earlier that day. With the lights out, everything looked different, and she could already tell this place was going to be ridiculously easy to get lost in. Nothing seemed familiar.

And promptly got a faceful of flashlight.
He made a startled grunt, flinching back instinctively as black spots flared in his eyes and wincing. He was still trying to furiously blink away the black spots and figure out if whoever flashed him was a friend or foe. He was still blinking owlishly when enough of his vision kicked back in so that he could see who he'd run into.
"C-Claire?" he asked, unable to keep the surprise from his voice. "What're you doing here?"
Reply
"Clark! I'm sorry, I didn't mean to blind you. I was trying to retrace my steps from earlier," she replied, her tone turning a bit sheepish as she shrugged and motioned to the hallway.

So far Tyki had managed to find his way to the main hall, but at this point he had no idea where to go. He looked around, aiming his flashlight into various directions only to conclude that it wasn't going to help him any.
Well, this definitely sucked. How was he supposed to find anything like this? The least they could do was putting a few signs around here. Searching would be a lot easier if he knew where to start, after all. It didn't help any that everything looked nearly identical, either.
He sighed.
[Will unknowingly bump into Lia]

Lia had been looking back over her shoulder as she passed into the hall from the one leading down between the cell blocks. She'd been certain she'd heard something back there, the dark and quiet already playing heavily on her nerves.
It was only the circle of brighter light that alerted her to Tyki's presence. She looked up in surprise, bringing her stride up short before she could actually collide with the other patient. "Sorry," she said a bit breathlessly, for all that she hadn't actually walked into him. Courtesy could not go amiss, in such a place as this one was.

He already began looking around the area for someone that he could approach when someone almost collided into him. Well, if that wasn't excellent timing...
He waved off her apology with a smile. "Do not worry about it." he answered. Though a sadist, Tyki's black side could also be friendly and polite for someone who enjoyed nailing Exorcists to...anything they could be nailed upon. And when he didn't have a reason to make someone scream in agony, he couldn't be bothered to actually do it. He was a sadist, but most of all, a very lazy sadist. There was also the Noah's instinct in him, the urge to kill an Exorcist whenever he saw one. This woman certainly wasn't one of those fake apostles ( ... )

She may have in the passed zig-zagged across several Territories, but at least then she'd had a reason, and a destination firmly in mind.
"My name is Arabella Ardelia," she said by way of introduction. And then added, "Lia." Familiar address seemed appropriate to the situation, as she assumed he was a fellow prisoner. Besides, she preferred the diminutive.

Finally there was a hall with people lingering around in it. It was to be expected - it was the main hall, of course, and thus it gave a wider berth for more patients to move around in.
Since this seemed to be a thoroughfare of sorts, Alkaid wondered if she'd end up seeing someone she knew. The chances of that weren't very high - there were millions of players in The World, and very few of those were people who she actually knew. There were people who knew her, of course, but that was different. She was famous. ...And they probably wouldn't recognize her, either. Her outfit was gone, after all.
So she pressed her back against the wall, turning her flashlight off and being really quiet. Maybe she could overhear a conversation. If there were any even going on.

What the hell was wrong with his subconscious? Didn't he think of anything bit nondescript dark hallways? Where were the cigarettes, the hot chicks, the cigarettes, the hardcore kung-fu movies...the cigarettes.
Sure, this hallway wasn't empty, but whose bright idea was it to give the figments of his imagination flashlights while he stumbled around groping in the dark? He only had one eye anyway! He'd understand if it was Haine or something. His ass was so pasty sometimes Badou thought it might emit its own glow.
"...Woah, hey."
Wasn't this soft squishy thing a wall just a minute ago? Funny, felt like a boob. Probably because it was a boob.
Jesus bleeding fuck, the walls had boobs.

...Well, when she was inappropriately manhandled.
She stood there dumbfoundedly, boiling in her skin for a few moments. Her first instinct was to attack, but then whatever had groped her had to mumble something, and she knew it totally wasn't a monster. No one had ever.. touched her there before, intentionally or unintentionally, though, and she did have her flashlight off, so it could probably be forgiven, but still...
Wait, what the hell was she doing standing around thinking about how she would react?
"Hey what? You better apologize for that, dirty pervert!" With that, she flicked on the flashlight, shining it right into the guy's eyes. He couldn't try anything again if he was blinded, that was for sure!
Reply
"What the hell?! If you didn't want to be groped you should have said something three corridors ago!" Still covering his eye with one arm, Badou jabbed the wall with his finger..somewhere. It wasn't squishy. Between the boobs maybe? "Go back to being a wall right the fuck now."
