Dayshift 32: Doctor's Office 3 (Dr. Muraki)

May 16, 2008 23:50

There were no late nights or lazy mornings this time. Early as it was, Muraki's day looked like it would be surprisingly normal. It was a light schedule today; he was expecting Jordan soon, and another new boy during lunch, then he would be home early to sort out certain affairs. Completely, utterly normal ( Read more... )

Had it really been a week? Ritsuka stood outside the door for a moment, staring up at it as he rubbed the bandages on his arm. A week here since Seimei left and he'd last seen Muraki. More than a week since he'd arrived in this house of horrors. It felt like it had been so much longer and yet, here he was at weekly therapy.

He opened the door and stepped inside, bowing his head slightly as he did so. After hearing all the terrible rumors about Muraki, this meeting made him nervous. He wanted to confirm things for himself, but it was hard not to believe the things people said just a little when it was so many who said them. "Hello, Sensei."

The door closed behind him and Ritsuka wondered just what was going to happen today.

"Hello, Aoyagi-kun." Muraki responded in kind. Though he'd returned to his usual perfect posture, he didn't seem to be awfully inclined to get up from his chair. He indicated the chair in front of his desk with a sweep of his hand, silently inviting Jordan to sit down.

"I believe we have a few things to discuss today." He began, recalling their last session with ease. He'd actually done some work since then, looking into the things they'd discussed. To do otherwise would just be lazy. He smiled genially. "But first, how are you doing?"

Ritsuka hung back by the door for a few moments, looking around the doctor's office. He noticed a few things were gone from last time, but he figured it might just be because Muraki took them home or something. He really hoped the doctors here didn't change like the nurses did. He just wanted one staff person here he could trust to stick around and be somewhat normal ( ... )

Things had been better, and somehow he'd gotten himself hurt? Muraki wondered who, and why, and what that bandage concealed. About 90% of his patients seemed to be sporting mild to serious injuries with little explanation given in the files or through nurses.

"We have a while together. It can wait a little bit." He said with a gentleness reserved for the handful of children he broke sweetly. "If there's something troubling you, I'd like to hear it. It's what I'm here for."
