Nightshift 30: Equipment/Chemical Storage

[from here]Anya's eyes lit up when she saw the hazardous warnings on the cabinets. Hazardous warnings were always fun. She padded quietly over to those cabinets, and was surprised but pleased to see them lined with bottles of chemicals, most of which had their own hazardous warnings ( Read more... )

Unfortunately for Anya, the fact that Willow was so absorbed in her work and that the rest of the room didn't contain much meant that Angel decided to go see what Anya might've found--only to nearly run into her.

He stopped short, narrowly avoiding a collision. She seemed in a hurry and he thought something was wrong in there until he peered past her and only saw a few cabinets.

He didn't block her path, stepping out of her way and into the room, but he did turn around to watch her leave. "Where're you going?"

[Willow's remaining in the other room, so I think it's just us here. ♥]

[ok, I'll go ahead then :) Willow-mun can thwack me if I'm screwing with posting order ♥]

Anya couldn't help a flicker of annoyance crossing her face. Stupid vampire!

"Nowhere," she said quickly. She'd hoped they could do this in the other room, away from all her wonderful chemicals. But maybe she could get what she wanted from him and then make him leave. "I actually wanted you to take off your shirt. And then go away."

Angel had opened one of the cabinets halfway before he processed her words and he was shuffling through some of the medical equipment when he realized that she'd just--

He snapped his head around, nearly slicing his finger with a scalpel. "What?"

"Didn't you hear me the first time?" Anya asked. "Your shirt. I'd like it."

She held out her hand, expecting him to strip to the waist. After all, it was just a shirt. "You don't expect me to take mine off, do you?" she demanded. "Unless you're all flabby or something and don't want anyone to see your lack of rippling pecs. Some men can be very self-conscious about that."

So she'd been told. Xander never had been, but then he'd always been well-proportioned... Anya put on a stern face as she halted that train of thought.

Finally! This was exactly what Farfarello had wanted. It was clear that someone had pawed through the chemicals already, but hopefully something would be left. Glancing back at Faust, Farfarello said softly, "Come in and close the door. See if you can bar it with something. We don't need interruptions from monsters or patients."

Faust nodded slightly absently, but he still moved to do as asked. A lab table would do the trick nicely. It would keep people out, but with a good shove they could still get out should there proove to be anything lurking in the dark here.

Despite his build, Faust was surprisingly strong and he dragged the table over with minimul strain before turning to watch Farfarello once more.

Pulling up his shirt, Farfarello unwrapped the pillowcase he'd secured around his middle before leaving his room--he'd been planning on gathering supplies, after all, so better to come prepared. His shirt he then pulled off entirely, to use as padding for the bottles of chemicals.

"Looks like those cabinets over there have equipment in them. Probably some scalpels and the like." He'd want a few of those, but with this much stuff still left he could afford to share with his temporary partner.

Faust lifted an eyebrow at the unexpected, but welcome generosity. He opened the cabinet and started taking out items that he felt would be of the most use in his hands. Scalpels and the like mostly.

What he didn't keep for himself, and it really wasn't much, he set aside for Farfarello to have. Taking the idea from the other man, Faust tripped his own shirt and used that as a makeshift bag to carry what he couldn't place in his pockets.
