Night 27: Intercom, End of Night
The intercom gave out a high shriek before descending back into its normal static. The Head Doctor's voice came on in its usual, despicable nighttime way.
"I'm glad to hear that you've toned things down, Alec!" He laughed for a moment before giving out a sigh. "Though I'm sure you'll try to cause trouble during the excitement tomorrow, eh? Gives me the shivers."
He paused, then continued:
"Actually, I'm decidedly unintimidated. I'll be present for the trip tomorrow, of course, but I'll come prepared for any tricks you may think you have up your sleeve. In the meantime...
"Patients, I do believe it's time for the sun to rise. Do I control even the sun in this place? Perhaps I do, perhaps I don't. Perhaps I will. We'll see."
The intercom shut off and all went dark.
