Unknowingly waiting for Star Dragon Sword, so please don't interrupt without permission unless you're a nightshifter]As Scar stood in the door opening, he found himself to be quite surprised to inhale the outside air. Being in a prison, he hardly expected part of this Landels to be outside. Not that the former lion minded; it was

The bout of fresh air that hit his senses, while slightly disorientating, was a relief to the sword. Ryuga’s information seemed to have proved correct and useful, and the sword made a mental note to thank the strange little human afterwards for their efforts. Unknowing of the other leaning up against the wall, the Night Rune incarnation took a few short steps out from the shelter of the building.
It was difficult to see them, but the blanket of stars above was unmistakable and something that instantly calmed the Star Dragon Sword. He found it somewhat troubling though to find that the star formation was one he couldn’t recognise. If he was located somewhere in his realm, then regardless of his location, he would have known every placement of every star in the sky. Yet the ones above him were foreign and left an unsettling feeling in the pit of his stomach.
’This most definitely isn’t good.’ The sword thought to himself. It meant that he wasn’t anywhere remotely close to the Suikoden realm - which posed far ( ... )

"Who is there?" Scar called out after quickly switching off his own light-stick. He was looking for an ally, but he also wanted to keep his distance in case the stranger proved to be dangerous.
Sneaking up to someone hardly left a good impression, after all.

“Disturbing my reflection with such disrespect, who do you think you are boy?!” The sword snapped out with a gruff voice. He couldn’t make out the exact location of who’d spoken to him, and after flicking on his torch, he rolled the light over the area until the visage of another human was found. Switching the light off again, the Star Dragon Sword snorted softly. “Skulking in the shadows is hardly befitting for one who wishes to address me. I should curse you right where you stand for your slight.”

"Silly me. Asking for the identity of a stranger standing in the darkness." he added, making the over-dramatic gesture with his hand against his forehead "Oh dear, what was I thinking?"

Naoto slid out the door, paying no attention to the two patients already outside. He didn't care who they were, or what they were doing--he just wanted to get to Naoya's room.
'Niisan.' Naoya's telepathic voice was unmistakable, and Naoto tried to respond--tried and nothing happened. "What the hell..." he muttered. But Naoya was waiting for him, and he wasn't about to pause for long.

Raiden couldn't help it. Without even thinking about it, he found himself taking quiet steps, and sneaking himself out the door and onto the recreational field. With the lighting as bad as it was in this place, it was practically asking to be moved through surreptitiously.
It was pretty cold out, but not to the point that he was seeing his breath. Then again, with how dark it was, he wasn't sure he would have been able to see it regardless. As he had suspected, the field seemed rather deserted, except for two patients who seemed to be bickering over something trivial.
Right now, he didn't have the time to eavesdrop, nor did he really care in the first place. Raiden moved his way to the right, hugging the wall until he reached the door that would take him into the neighboring hallway.

Kain didn't stray far from the door, eyes scanning the field, cautious. Wide open spaces practically begged for attacks from all sides, and he didn't want to move until he was sure it was safe. There were two others on the field, but as far as he could tell that was all.
If the set up followed the hallway he had just left then there'd be another door to his right. Kain glanced up at the sky, then sighed and set off.

There were two people here, conversing rather loudly. Idiots. At least they didn't have their flashlights on. His actions thus far had been virtually silent; whether or not the others noticed, Riddick dismissed them from his mind and moved right, staying by the wall. The barrier to the courtyard rose up in the violet hues of his nightvision, and although he wasn't in quite the condition he had been the previous night, it didn't take long to reach the top of the wall. He waited there for a moment, listening quietly. He had no intention of jumping down into the courtyard beyond, but he wanted to make sure he couldn't see anything there. If that thing from last time was still around, he didn't want to risk the creature deciding the Furyan didn't belong on the wall ( ... )
