Unknowingly waiting for Star Dragon Sword, so please don't interrupt without permission unless you're a nightshifter]As Scar stood in the door opening, he found himself to be quite surprised to inhale the outside air. Being in a prison, he hardly expected part of this Landels to be outside. Not that the former lion minded; it was

There were two people here, conversing rather loudly. Idiots. At least they didn't have their flashlights on. His actions thus far had been virtually silent; whether or not the others noticed, Riddick dismissed them from his mind and moved right, staying by the wall. The barrier to the courtyard rose up in the violet hues of his nightvision, and although he wasn't in quite the condition he had been the previous night, it didn't take long to reach the top of the wall. He waited there for a moment, listening quietly. He had no intention of jumping down into the courtyard beyond, but he wanted to make sure he couldn't see anything there. If that thing from last time was still around, he didn't want to risk the creature deciding the Furyan didn't belong on the wall.
Nothing stirred of the death-by-monster variety, so it was time to creep along the top of the wall, heading towards the outer wall. As his ribs reminded him of their ache, the thought floated around Riddick's mind that surely this had been tried before. But it was the only route he knew of at the moment. And like hell he was going to let the thought that this was too easy deter him from attempting the plan.

And no monsters, that he could see from here anyways. Odd. There were a lot of reasons this was seeming like a bad idea the closer he got. But for now he'd have to get over the barbs. Easy enough, they weren't spectacularly large, more like the broken glass one would expect along the top of a low-security prison wall. The Furyan took his shirt off and bunched it up, setting it over the barbs to make a better place to stand. He wanted a good look at the ground before he jumped.
It was about then he hit something he couldn't see. Something in the air above the wall? It blew him backwards, light filling his vision though it was impossible to tell if it was from whatever he'd hit, or a visual reaction to the pain and sudden motion. His left shoulder hit the wall he'd traveled to this point as he fell backwards into the courtyard.
