He was honestly going to go get drunk in a place like this. It didn't really strike him until he was outside Yohji's door. He couldn't even pretend it had something to do with getting out or forging alliances or even pilfering some some alcohol for weapons. He was pretty sure he could ask easily while they were sober without the assassin batting an eyelash at him.
He just wanted to loosen up for a while. Did that mean this place was really getting to him, little by little, making him compliant? Cliff didn't know. He wasn't really in a fighting mood right now, that was for sure.
Who've I been kidding? I'm no soldier. When it comes down to it, I'm just another guy.
He didn't know why he was smiling either. He knocked the door before opening it, conscious of the fact that Yohji would have a roommate too. "Hey, are you decent in there?"

He lay back on his bed until his heard a knock on the door and Cliff's familiar voice calling out. "Come in!" he replied, grinning slightly. At least it should be a relaxing night.

He moved further into the room and took a seat on Yohji's bed. Or his roommate's. He didn't really care which.
"Sorry, forgot the cookies." Cliff said, raising his hands in mock surrender. "I know, I know, it's tragic. We'll just have to make do, huh?"

"I guess we'll just have to go with the milk then," he replied laughingly and moved over so he could pull the bottle out from underneath the mattress. "Stolen from the dear doctors."
