He didn’t bother to wait and see if Albel was following him, and continued down the hallway. Although he’d intervened and prevented the other patient’s life from being taken, it didn’t mean that he’d wait around and babysit the other man. Yuber had done all he was willing to do, and if Albel was too weak to step forward, then the black knight’s attention would drift elsewhere regardless of the contract they’d previously created.
Coming to a stop at the intersection, the knight found his gaze drifting down towards what appeared to be yet another hallway with doors. The odd sounds echoing from that direction indicated the possibility of others down there, and he found himself slightly curious as to what could be in that direction. His gaze passed over the staircase heading downwards before Yuber glanced back over his shoulder in the way that he’d came - wondering if Albel had decided to lift his game and follow.
Albel's eyes narrowed at Yuber's comment, momentarily distracted from his tattoos. He watched him move further down the hallway, away from the scene and the ghostly wench. His crimson eyes glanced back at the ghost, and the warrior found himself torn between making sure the ghost payed for this and following that maggot to demand an answer for his stupid action.
Albel the Wicked never fled, it was against his nature. But staying seemed just foolish. He couldn't...not now. The captain had trouble admitting it but, he was too weak. Making his decision, he ran down the hallway. He needed to know, he needed to know why that worm had been so foolish.
"Why did you do it, fool?!" he yelled upon reaching him. Anger had finally caught up with the Elicoorian. He was angry at the ghost for doing this to him, angry at Yuber for saving him, but most of all; angry at himself for being so horribly weak. For allowing this to happen...
It really came as no surprised to see the now tattooed form of Albel storming towards his position, and in response, the slightest hint of a smug smile tugged on the knight’s lips. Taking a step out to the side as he was yelled at, Yuber’s expression never once lost its arrogant touch as he half turned back to regard his raging companion
( ... )
On the bright side, at least this maggot's answer wasn't anything along the lines of 'I don't need a reason to help people' or anything equally cheesy that made Albel gag. But then again, this worm was hardly the type to go and play hero. Not everyone had the same foolish thought-pattern as Fayt did, after all. But the fact remained. This idiot had gone and foolishly save him. Even despite the kind of person he had in front of him, Albel didn't like it.
"Hmph, no matter what excuse you'll think of, you're still a brainless fool." Albel snarled, his eyes slightly narrowing. "You'd better don't do it again, maggot."
And the Elicoorian wanted to drop the subject with that, forcing his mind on another while switching to the obvious threat the other man had made. "If I don't take your life first, that is."
