The hallway opened up to another one, yet Mewtwo could see a door in front of him. Although it was dark, he vaguely remembered this area; he believed that the human woman had taken him down this path and to the right to reach that giant room with no ceiling. Interesting. If he were to take that path again, then he could once more examine that Pokémon battle simulator. It was a terribly crude thing though (he could not understand why such a thing was considered research material; it seemed more like a child's game), and he preferred the company of real Pokémon.

Mewtwo stood in the halls for a little longer, flashlight beam dancing around for any places he may have overlooked.

Ok, well, that had not gone well at all. Haruhi had tried to check all the rooms in the women's block, but that was way too tiring! She hadn't seen Bella in any of the hallways there either. Damn, that EDD girl was so annoying!

So, now what was Haruhi supposed to do? She decided to start by leaving the women's blocks. Bella didn't want to be found? Fine! Haruhi wouldn't look for her! She just wanted to use that girl to find monsters anyway. Otherwise, she was completely annoying!

But... she really had meant to find that girl. Alright, alright! She'd ask someone if they had seen her, jeez. Having a conscious sucked sometimes.

This person would do. "Hey, have you seen a girl with, umm, about shoulder length brown hair, kinda pale looking..." she began as she walked up to him. Remembering details was tough. That was about all she could manage.

Mewtwo had decided to go for the door before him, as he should expand his knowledge of this place, but he was stopped by some strange human girl asking if he had seen another.

The Pokémon shook his head, irritated as some of his newly acquired bangs hung in his eyes. Humans and their hair.

"I have not seen the human you described." Was all Mewtwo responded with. Now that he had 'helped' the human, perhaps she could answer a question of his.

"Do you know where that door leads to?" The Pokémon gestured to the door before them, hoping this human wasn't as useless for information was Demyx was.

Darn. Back to square one, it looked like. But this guy had a weird way of talking. Most people didn't talk about others as 'humans.' That was like, 'Hello organic life-form. I am a robot.' Hmm.

"Are you a robot or something?" she asked. Hey, it could happen!

Haruhi looked to where he had indicated. "And that's the doorway to the stairs, I'm pretty sure. There's a second floor here." Hey, maybe Bella had gone upstairs. Why, Haruhi had no idea, but she was willing to try anything at the moment. "Are you headed that way?"

There were a few people in the hallway, but Ashton was doing his best not to look at any of the flashlight beams around him. He'd lost his own flashlight a few nights ago, and Namine had it, as far as he was concerned, but wielding dual swords he'd not much room to carry an instrument of light.

Hmm, that familiar hairstyle, though - was that Axel? So he was with a girl! How lucky! Then again, Ashton was with two of the finest-looking people in the institute. The unlucky swordsman did enjoy the look of 'pure' girls like Miku, but there was something about full-grown women like Lust that just.. was rather enjoyable to watch ( ... )

"I'm still not entirely certain what we're looking for, or what we're supposed to do with it once we find it." Dias adjusted his grip on his sword. He was used to working for people, but not with not having hammered out the specific conditions of the job personally with the person he was working for. He felt uncomfortably uninformed; he didn't even know where the closet they were supposedly looking for was. "But wherever you think we have the best chance of finding it, I'll follow and help how I can."

"Ah.. Well, the janitor's closet is on the second floor, in one of the far hallways.. I've got it on my map. The doctor's offices are just down there," - here he pointed down the hallway - "and shouldn't be too hard to access at the end of the night. We could split up when it comes to that point if necessary, if it'd make us go faster," Ashton reasoned.

Then he smiled at his friend. "Then we run it back to the room. Can you hold on to stuff with that arm, or is that going to be too risky?"

He really should have spent some time to make a bag, or brought his coat. Even so, he feared that Dias was going to be stuck holding things... maybe that wasn't such a good idea.

[it came from below!!]

Leon's flashlight had landed on someone familiar, and he made his way towards the group with hurried footsteps. They looked safe, which really should have been a good thing except that it left them with NO excuse for leaving him behind as far as he was concerned.

He should have addressed them first, really - questioned where they were going, asked how they were doing - anything like that. The only thing he could get himself to do once he'd reached them, however, was aim a good kick directly at Ashton's shin.

"Jerks! Suddenly I'm a liability?"

Ravi paused in the hallway for a moment to glance around - it sounded like there was a lot of noise coming from the direction where the Sun Room was, but it would be pretty stupid to go check that out when he knew he'd probably do more good just sticking to instructions and looking around the second floor. He turned and headed up the stairs.

Just about everything that Claude was telling him was in danger of going over Luke's head, but he got the gist of it. Somehow, Claude had managed to travek back in time, or so he said. It sounded weird to Luke, but after he thought about it some more... it did explain why he couldn't remember anything after he blacked out.

"Wait, so... you're saying that somehow, we traveled back in time?" Luke repeated, still finding it hard to wrap his head around the subject. Not only was he on another planet, he was in the future, or maybe even the distant past!

"I mean, it makes sense when I think about it, because I don't remember anything after a certain point that people," he glanced at Asch, "keep telling me happened... but who has the power to do that?"

Even with the marvels of fontech, humanity on Auldrant barely rediscovered the art of flying, let alone traveling to other planets and time itself.

Ancient? That... seemed unlikely, somehow. They were, supposedly, on a different planet, in a different time even. Not to mention there was the whole reviving the dead thing... If they were that far in the past, then none of that should've been possible.

On the subject of time... Claude said something about being four centuries in the past. If that were true, that would make the year somewhere around... ND 1619, or maybe even later since Guy had mentioned an additional year passing. That was, of course, as long as Earth had the same concept of time as Auldrant...

This was beginning to become a little too much, even for Asch.

"How is that even possible? How can one person experience something when someone else didn't? Especially if that person was there?" he added, not failing to catch Luke's glance. "That's impossible!"

Okay, so maybe Claude could have found a different way to word it. Still, he didn't really like to sugar-coat the truth, and it seemed a little cruel to just lie to these people, or even to omit the whole time difference thing entirely. He knew he should probably feel guilty about telling Luke and Asch all this when they came from a planet that barely knew how to fly. But if they were really in a different time, then they had a right to know about it. It wasn't fair to keep them in the dark on purpose ( ... )

Albel quickly rounded the corner -- ignoring all the other maggots yet paying attention to their flashlight beams. The last thing the Elicoorian wanted was to bump in a wall, after all.

He could have easily stolen a flashlight from a room in his own block, but the captain didn't really want to run into some worthless maggot sitting in said room. Since a flashlight was hardly worth wasting your time fight some weak idiot, he needed to find a hallway without any scum. That way, chances were he'd find a room that would be empty. At least, according to each logic.
