HK did his best to pick through the food that he was given, trying to figure out which one of the things on his plate was the 'potatoes' and which was the 'peas'. He had a fair idea, but with this place, he couldn't be sure. After all, the nurse had given him that white milk again. In a place where milk was white, he didn't have much certainty in any meatbag food products.

At least he wouldn't have to spend the whole night entirely alone with another sulking assassin. The maybe part-Ugnaught meatbag had been bizarre, but potentially tolerable. He was just rather unhappy about the prospect of dragging around noncombatants. They seemed to have somehow acquired two for the night. He sighed, letting his fork hit the probably-peas with a slight splat. At least he'd be able to kill things, soon...

"Agreement: Of course. A technologically primitive meatbag group would not be able to capture so many individuals of such varied and widespread origins." The boss was down (more sounds of explosions), and some sort of shiny crystalline structure was revealed. "Statement: However, the vast majority of the meatbags here are originally human. I find that odd. I have met one meatbag who identified himself as formerly from a species known as the 'VUX', before being transferred to a human body." ZEX had been quite an odd meatbag.

Oh dear. That countdown timer in the game didn't look friendly. "Query: What capacity will you have for sending messages, and what sort of range?"

"I'm not quite certain," Citan admitted. "I've no way of telling that the range is. I suppose we'll simply have to test it." The wires pulled free and he held his breath, checking for breaks. So far, so good.

"I'd prefer to be able to make an explosive of some sort, but I'm sure someone will have use for a modified communicator." He didn't comment on the bit about being transferred to a human body. He knew HK wouldn't have answers for him, and there was no reason to seem over-curious. But he wanted to know how these people had harnessed that power.

HK perked up slightly at the mention of explosives. "Statement: There was someone on the message board who said they were manufacturing explosives." No details, though. HK hadn't gotten the chance to comment, what with the massage and then the argument and the sulking ( ... )
