"I like to be optimistic." It was better than paranoia. If he was paranoid, he'd just be jumpy and might make a mistake if a sound he heard was another captive like himself. No, it was better to hope nothing jumped out at them and things stayed quiet; at least, in his mind.

"Though, running works too, especially since fighting doesn't seem all that smart with how unarmed we are." It wasn't his favorite option, but it was better than dying...which seemed to be the only real option when fighting a creature without being able to defend yourself.
