Taura pondered the announcement she'd just heard as she jogged down another empty hallway. Who was she? Jill? Who he'd tortured himself, though that could have been an act on her part as well? Whose side had she been on? And what could have happened to her that would be permanent ( Read more... )

Lucky for his tag-along for the night, he wasn't moving too fast. His steps were swift, but he wanted to make sure the guy definitely got the lay of the land. Any opportunity for Sora to frown at him and suggest he was trying to work alone was one he needed to get around. Riku knew he did that enough, but he was getting a little tired of it. (And sometimes, certain situations called for it.) He turned slightly to check on him, a smirk playing on his lips. It was better to seem confident and at ease.

Loki followed the little mortal easily. He didn't try to be silent, since Riku wasn't either, but his steps were quiet and very confident, and he had absolutely not trouble keeping up and keeping an eye on his surroundings as well.

He was still deciding how he felt about the mortal, really. He enjoyed a good banter as much as the next man, but there was something in this one's manner that grated slightly, and Loki was still trying to decide what it was. Though it could just as easily be a symptom of the character that Loki had chosen to build himself in to. Verdicts didn't have to be reached immediately, and anyone it was in his best interest to remain on everyone's good side for the time being, since that made other goals easier to construct.

And there had been the feeling, for just a moment, that he might have hit a nerve. Only for a mortal of his age, Riku was surprisingly good at that part of the game, which Loki also found very curious. But there was time to prod subtly if he wished.
