(starting at the end of the hall in F10)At the strange cryptic message that came over the intercom and the quiet click of the locks coming undone, Max exchanged a glance with her roommate and slipped towards the door. She didn't bother with trying to find a makeshift weapon, she could handle herself well enough without one, but she'd tucked the

She did her best to look over Haruhi's shoulder, out into the hall; it only took a moment to realize she couldn't really see anything. Well... that was what the flashlights were for, she supposed. On the other hand, the light might draw those... monsters. Wherever they were, whatever they were... "I'd like that. Going out alone sounds like a bad idea..."

Well, she would just have to go out and see. She stepped out into the hall and flicked on the flashlight. She scanned the corridor, before fixating on one group. Hmm. Just as in the lunchroom, Haruhi had a pretty good idea of who it was.
Time to go take a look. She motioned for Utena to follow.

She knew she wasn't supposed to move ... but ... she was already getting antsy. Sighing quietly, she made her way out into the hallway when she heard some chatter.

Renji came up on Kairi as she entered the hallway. "Hey," he said. "No one's stayin' put these days, are they." He sounded vaguely annoyed, but there was now a definite note of amusement.
He could hear the voices up ahead; he could tell Rangiku was there, and he was pretty sure he heard Namine's voice as well. So far, there were no monsters; and if an attack occured in the hall, he and Rangiku were both here. They could protect everyone if necessary.
"Hey, Rangiku," he called, only as loudly as absolutely necessary. "I found your stray, so you can get movin'."

Rena returned the newcomer's nod with a polite one of her own. "My name is Ryuuguu Rena," she answered, addressing the now small party that had gathered in the halls. "I...can probably say the same thing."

Artemis came up next to Renji, trying not to look at the tall, imposing man. "I suppose we are all restless," The boy said, raising his eyebrows at the clump of people in the hallway. "I will never understand why women feel the need to congregate in the smallest space possible."
He looked over at Kairi, "Oh, erm, forgive the intrusion. Hopefully I'll be on my way shortly."

With those thoughts, she closed the door behind her and made her way down the hall. It was already occupied by several patients; all of them seemed busy. So much for another person...

Fox remained with his back against the wall, keeping his attention focused on the darkness around him.
The Boss wanted an explanation, so he'd give her one. As soon as he was certain there was no immediate danger.

The Boss followed behind him, silently, looking to the left and right for anything Fox might be missing. It was potentially unwise to stand around in Hell's hallways for the sake of privacy, regardless of how concealed they could be, but there was little point to arguing.
She couldn't detect anything coming, so she waited for his answers.

She had already lost so many sons, so many things, so many times she just couldn't find it in herself to be upset again. The closest resemblance to those feelings had left her at breakfast.
"Losing everything you are is worse than dying," she replied, agreeing with his thoughts. "Life is nothing but a farewell gift."
There was something still off, however.
"What of Snake?" she continued, not moving and not pausing. "What was he talking about this morning, and why didn't he know?"
