Sesshoumaru had not been in the building for nearly long enough to really know it, and his knowledge had not been expanded yesterday as it might otherwise have been, because of the poisons that had been fed into his system - poisons that somehow worked, which had been a disconcerting and unpleasant experience. In the end, though, all

Some guy was tapping his light on and off in Morse code. "A...N...O...I...A". Funny. Blinking searchlight leading them straight for you. Probably one of the military guys. Real military, not these cardboard cutout soldier-sadists. S.T. had tried to teach it to the rest of the G.E.E. crowd, but things like spelling and timing were too much like bureaucracy. Even if the lectures on artificial constraints imposed by social strictures were more uniform than his radio discipline. The funny names caught on pretty well.
Places to go, girls to watch get plastered. He kept moving.

Into the main hall now...rather than turn left like he usually did, Niikura screeched to a halt and tore off to his right, toward the female side of the rooms. Last time--ah, he couldn't even remember why he ended up there, and it hadn't been more than a week ago. Probably one of those nights he'd decided to fly solo...those had never turned out well.
--oh hey, there was Sesshoumaru. One could never deny that hair. He didn't look like he was killing anyone yet, which was good. Maybe the guy would actually take his words to heart--or maybe he wouldn't. He probably wouldn't. It didn't seem like a very Sesshoumaru-ish thing to do, listening to others.
Not that Niikura was one to talk.

"My roommate seemed pretty nice." Shiina didn't have much to say about her, but she could give Shou the basic run-down. If she didn't, she hated to think what kind of interrogation the other girl might find herself receiving from her over-protective sort-of-but-not-really boyfriend.
"Tear is about our age. Maybe a little younger? But she seemed really mature." Shiina shrugged, her smile crooking. "I think she might have been American or something. She shook my hand when we first met."

They walked into the next hall, and almost immediately, his attention went mostly to their surroundings. They really didn't need any distractions right now, not even second-hand ones; as nice as it was to chat and hang out (kind of), he had things to take care of. He couldn't forget, even if Shiina was here, what they'd done to Katsuragi. Just the thought was enough to rouse a bit of the righteous anger he'd felt the other day...

Anise found some relief when she reached the main hallway; it looked like more people were out and about now, which meant there was light that she could use. She also spotted a familiar face or two, though it was mostly strangers around her. There wasn't really time to stand around and people-watch, though. Tolten was probably waiting!

But even a guy self-trained to be a thief only had so much stamina for running, pissed off or not. When Byrne hit the main hallway, he had to stop to catch his breath. Rational, non-rage-induced thoughts were finally able to catch up with him, too.
... So they had taken Badd. He needed to think about where they could have taken him. The second floor? The east side of the building? Much of the area was still unfamiliar to Byrne, unfortunately, and this lack of knowledge would make searching difficult.
Not impossible, though. He will find Badd, no matter what. He just needed to start looking somewhere.
Byrne glanced down at the gun in his hand as he pondered what direction to take. Down the hall or up the stairs? What was more likely? The sooner he could find Badd, the better.

There were more people out in the main hall, and Gren stopped for a moment to make a quick threat assessment before he moved on. There weren't any obvious fights going on, but he did spot a familiar face who looked a little bit lost.
...and had a gun. That didn't seem like the best possible combination, really.
"Byrne?"

"Gren?" He sounded more exhausted than anything at the moment - still trying to catch his breath from running. "What are you doing here?"
...Wow, Faraday. That was a dumb question. What was anyone doing here? No, really?
In any case, Byrne was largely unaware (for once) that he looked mildly threatening holding a gun in plain sight while having an expression that read I'm-this-close-to-freaking-killing-somebody-right-now. Why should he care what impression he was giving off? His best friend was being tortured right now, for crying out loud! He cared about saving a life here, not looking like a decent human being to anybody!

"You okay? You look pretty upset." Okay, so he was really just countering a dumb question with one of his own. No one here was 'okay,' really. They'd all been kidnapped and were being run around like rats in a maze. "Anything I can help with?" He only had a shovel, but he figured that while he wasn't in the best shape anymore, he had combat experience, and if Byrne was in a hurry to do something rash--which the weapon and the way he was trying to catch his breath seemed to indicate--he could at least offer himself as backup.

There were more people about as he stepped into the main hallway, more noise and lights flashing around. Whatever that 'Code 1-8' had meant, he could see no sign of it here. He frowned a little to himself, worried at what that might mean.
Well, there was no point in dwelling on it right now.
