[from here]He glanced idly at the doorways as they passed them, and yet still none read infirmary. "It's only a waste of time," he replied. "If you can't find them. Which would be a bit pathetic in a small building like this

And back to here. And so many curious doors to enter through, with so little time in the night. There were a few others traipsing about, with as much finesse as a horde of animals, and it was far too distasteful. The one next to him was a bit more discrete, much more manageable in terms of dealing with.
Albedo glanced over, expression bordering friendly. If they were to remain in each other's company, he'd do well to at least see what could be gained from the prospect. "Well. First choice goes to you, from your bravery, of course." The boy smiled pleasantly. "Where to?"
"I wanna cover as much ground as we can," he said firmly, ignoring the childish jab about his bravery. If Albedo was willing to let him go ahead, Riku wasn't going to deny the chance; he liked the idea that he might be able to take charge, though the stubborn part of him wanted to throw this back in the other boy's face. No, he wouldn't give up the power, but he didn't like feeling led. It twisted a part of him.
"So let's see if you can keep up." That was the best he could manage. Riku shifted his hold on the bat that he made sure to keep close through all of this, and then he moved forward to the closest place he could see across the hall.
Riku stepped out and looked at his options-induction and observation rooms revealed themselves as he turned back down, and then he looked to the other hallway that eventually appeared to him. "Head down there or stick with these?" he asked. He didn't have a preference, and he didn't want to test Albedo's patience. As long as he covered as much as he could, he was open to anything.
So this one wanted a place harder to get into. That could be done. The boy was sure at least a few of these doors came locked. To Riku's suggestion, Albedo trotted to the opposing hallway, peering at the first door. Men's Bathroom. The expression in his face died, and he suppressed a nearly visible shudder. It was as if fate wanted him to break by coming into contact with each of the ones present in the institute. It was not every mirror that had affected, to be certain, but it was enough of a deterrent.
He turned on his heel, giving a look of boredom. "Let's check back here instead." To the main hall, there existed a few doors and a hallway breaking off on the opposite side. To which he would explore first. The child moved down the side hall, touching each door he came to. The two on the left remained locked, while the one on the right had already been cracked open. "Might as well see what someone was so interested in," he murmured lightly.
