Drinking was tempting, though there were things he should be working on. Who knew what was going on with the head doctor or where they might find Marc. Should they even continue on with that mission? Whatever the case, he had little desire to stick around and wait for Kurogane or Tsubaki to show up, as he was certain they would if he stayed in one place too long. There'd been no plans over the bulletin, so no reason he should feel obligated to go with them either. Running away was what he did best, after all.
He began to gather his things, looking forlornly at the bottle of wine as he pulled on his gloves and coat.

It wasn't hard to find Fai's room - the unmistakable tingle of magic behind the door was all she needed to guide her there, and as it had throughout her entire journey in the hallways, it grew stronger the closer she came to it. She tugged the door open with both hands, peeking around the frame and giggling happily when she caught sight of her dear friend inside, working on something - after missing him last night, she was so happy she had stayed awake to catch up with him this time!
“Fai!” She chirped, only a little more quietly than usual, because of how late it was - still, her voice carried every ounce of cheer and affection it normally did when she greeted the man. The little creature bounded towards him, arms outstretched - she didn't bother to control her pace or balance in this new form as she ran, positive he would catch her before she went far enough to fall. She missed being able to bounce up to his shoulder, but saying hello like this was okay, too!
“Mokona found you! Did you wait?”
