She wanted to run.

She seriously considered running, but that would give her away too easily. It would be loud, too obvious, she wouldn't be able to keep sight of the details around her, and as much of a hurry as she was in, it just wasn't a good option. So she kept close to the shadows, peering around her with what little light there was. For the most part, there was just door after door after door and she was instinctively chewing on her lip now.

How many other people were trapped in this place? Hundreds? Thousands? It was nauseating to think about, even if the only thing she wanted to focus on was escape. Were there even guards? Security? Surely, someone would note the long figure creeping down the hallways (though it'd be quick to take them out if it came to it.) However, as she moved further down, she noted that not only was she not the only person here, but there was a light (coming from a flashlight) that seemed to be what was giving a draping shadow to her actions ( ... )

Jessica staggered back as the flashlight shone at her, bringing a hand over her eyes and squinting. There was no doubt in her mind though once he spoke up and even as she got closer and really got a good look at him, she knew herself. Well, her former self. This was her genetic template and he was here with her.

And when that thought struck her, she was unbelievably mad.

"Peter! What are you --"

She hurried over, closing the space between him and immediately grabbing him in a tight hug, burying her face against his shoulder before pulling back, checking to make sure that he was okay and everything was in one-piece. "What are you doing here? Why are you here? Are you okay? They didn't hurt you, did they --" An unbelievably amount of questions was pouring from her lips and while she was mad that they had brought him here (it was okay for her because she could handle it), at the same time, she was infinitely relieved ( ... )

Lana walked briskly through the main women's hall, passing what could only be a sibling reunion -- and a mostly-happy, if a little frenetic, one at that. Why did they bother? What good did it do them to bring people in little clusters?

It could be something medical -- a comparison study -- but that didn't explain Damon following her here, nor the latest additions to the largest number of legal counsel to a malpractice suit in recorded history, provided they could ever get a judge to stop laughing at the first mention of time travel.

...She had a judge in mind. Two, and as it happened, and, oddly enough, brothers. Another coincidence for the books.

A beam of light slit the darkness further down the hall, and Lily regarded it with confusion as the bearer turned away. It was more difficult for her to see in dimness, but not impossible. Lily wanted to ask about Rose's friends--they must be from whatever world the compound locked her away from--but this didn't seem like the ideal time.

"Where are we going?" The hallway only had one open exit, so Lily headed in that direction, entering a space that was wider but still fit the definition of hallway.

"I'm not sure. I haven't found a map of this place."

This part she had been through before, though. Also, there was only one door out, aside from the dead-end dormitory hallways and the clearly-marked bathroom. Which meant that wherever they were going, it started with another hallway.

She amended her earlier assertion. "Yet. I'm working on it."

One hallway ended, only to open into another one. So far, it had been quiet. Too quiet.

Faye continued to walk, her footsteps heavy and awkward, grumbling to herself along the way. She hated these stupid boots. They were too clunky, and far less streamlined than what she was used to. What if she had to make a run for it? They'd put her at a horrible disadvantage.

She heard echoes of two distinct voices, one male and one female, coming from somewhere nearby, and stopped short, gripping her flashlight more tightly, trying to locate the source. It had to be in this hallway somewhere. She walked back and forth, in one direction and then another, shining her flashlight all around her. But to no avail.

Maybe she was imagining things.

She shook her head and continued on.

Anise hadn't made any specific plans for the night, but she figured it should be okay if she went and found Guy and Claude. Maybe they could check out that quarry she heard about a while ago! They already saw mostly everything there was to see at the ruins, after all. Well... Anise had, anyway.

In any case, they'd have a chance to figure things out once she got there. She'd have to make sure to be quick.
