That was weird. Then again, most intercom announcements were, especially during these last few days.
Having calmed down a great deal since the beginning of the evening, Anise set about preparing for the night. First order of business: fixing her pigtails. She doubted any soldiers were going to run over and yell at her for breaking dress code at night, so Anise let her hat stay wherever it landed earlier, untied the ribbons from her hair, then retied them with her hair up in its usual high, fluffy pigtails.
With her pigtails and Tokunaga back, Anise felt a little more like her usual self. She still didn't have a cute alternative to the military uniform, though... Oh well.
As she pawed through her box of belongs, Anise retrieved her first aid supplies and a pair of scissors. Remembering Claude's injury from last night, she figured it might be good for everyone if she carried a roll of gauze, just in case. She slipped one into the small sack on Tokunaga's back, along with a small tube of antibacterial ointment. If someone got hurt again, she'd be prepared to help.
As for the scissors, those were used to snip the tag off of her weapon. It would've been annoying to have that fluttering around all night.
Tokunaga, meat tenderizer, flashlight... looked like she had all the equipment she needed. Checking her closet and drawers, she found some outdoor clothing; jacket, boots, and gloves. Before leaving, she put all of them on. She would have felt pretty dumb if the cold took her out before any monsters could.
