Beelzemon stopped as he neared the doors to the Sun Room, a look about as close to thoughtful as he ever got crossing his face. The last time he'd seen all those soldier boys running around was in the cafeteria, but they probably weren't there now. There was always something in the Sun Room, but it probably wouldn't be something he'd

Since Donna already knew how to take one of the soldiers down if she met one, she needed to find a better way to take them down where it really hurt. Kicking groins only went so far. She'd need something bigger to take on an army, like a tank or something.
And that gave her an idea. These guys were military after all, chances were they had something worth jacking out in the parking lot. A tank would have been nice, but she'd have been happy with a radio that didn't spit clues and might have picked up a catchy tune or two. Besides that, the Doctor could probably do his spacey alien thing with some better tech and maybe make a TARDIS tracker or something useful. Either way, it was better than pharmacy raiding.
"Lets find us a tank, Donna!" she announced to herself as she turned to head for the front door. Maybe this time there wouldn't be her roommate there to block the way.

"Hey! You goin' after th' soldiers?" He started towards the human, a big, sharp-toothed grin enthusiastically plastered across his face. "Ya got any objections ta a mon taggin' along?" Because damn did that sound awesome. A tank wasn't as good as a nice, fast bike, but still. It would be something with an engine, and man did he miss his Behemoth. Especially, you know, since he didn't have wings anymore.

Instead of commenting on how he spoke (she'd heard worse), she ended up interested in his words and grinned for having her brilliant idea recognized. "Best way to make a man cry is to take his ride, isn't it?" or to compare it with a Rocketship. Really, the Doctor did need an upgrade on that little blue box. She folded her arms and pointed towards the entryway doors. "Might not find an actual tank, but how much you wanna bet those military morons have something useful parked out front? Has to be better than raiding Landel's dirty laundry ( ... )

"They're here, they're the bad guys, we make 'em regret it. Makes sense ta me." And if he could actually get somewhere closer to home along with Renamon, that would be a bonus. "Digimon. Digital Monster. Person-from-th'-Digital-World. All that stuff." Man, another one that hadn't heard of 'em. Probably, anyway. "'m Beelzemon. So, the party crashers 're out there?" he asked, pointing towards the front doors.
[Nope, since it would count as armor, and protective ability from oktoberfest outfits is a no-go. And it ain't a disaster, it's amazing! 8P]

Edgar was surprised to see the number of patients dwindle so drastically as they reached the center of the main hallway, leaving the two of them completely alone. Perhaps he'd been wrong about patients wanting to face the threats presented by Aguilar's messenger, and they preferred to congregate and stay in the relative safety of the western part of the hall. No matter- maybe they'd be the first to wherever they were headed.
Speaking of their destination, it was time he asked. Questioning what Ryuuzaki gleaned from the announcements could wait for a bit. "Where are we going this fine evening?" Edgar asked, eyeing the Sun Room as they passed the doors. What was that odd feeling he'd gotten just now?

"There are some storage rooms upstairs on the other side of the building. I'm not completely sure of their contents, but I thought we might find something useful there. The stairs are just to our right."

A few more paces forward, and the rest of Carter's words were fully (but not willingly) registered in Facilier's head. Blinking in the darkness, Facilier halted on the spot, his face incredulous as he glanced at Carter.
"Now just wait a minute there, young man!" he exclaimed, "I can understand that people here would come from other places, but different times as well?" He gave a little chuckle, but his apprehension only seemed to hollow it out. Maybe he had picked the wrong person to tag along with...
"I would ask for more charming stories from y'all, but it looks like you just beat me to it!" he added, looking down at Carter with a small sneer that almost betrayed Facilier's annoyance, "There's no second World War going on! Heaven forbid it ( ... )

This isn't anyone's world... That sentence distressed Facilier more than he could tolerate, twisting tight knots in his stomach and kicking his heartbeat out of rhythm. Facilier always had the upper hand in his world, with all his power, his artifacts and his connections to his otherworldly friends -- Until those so-called friends dropped him off here.A strident shout, followed by a sharp clanging of swords stole away with Facilier's attention. A flash of red briefly glowed from a central door up ahead, casting a scarlet shadow to briefly trail down the dark floor. Both witch doctor and Shadow stretched their necks out towards the source of the commotion. Wait a second... Wasn't that coming from the sun room ( ... )

"I think we can sneak past while they're fighting," he whispered insistently, leaning against the doorframe while Facilier tried to retreat. "We need to get through this room to the other side." Carter was pretty sure he'd seen at least one of those guys in the cafeteria. He'd heard about this, people getting brainwashed into fighting other prisoners. It had happened to Miss Aigis too and she hadn't meant to hurt anyone. Maybe they could just make a run for it.
...so if this was what was in location number one, the Sun Room, what was in all the other locations? More brainwashed patients with glowing swords and a bad temper? Carter really hoped not or Doctor Facilier would be pretty upset with him for leading them into another fight.

Halfway there.
Or at least it was if he was going by distance. Difficulty was another issue altogether, though he'd rather not deal with the other possibilities if they could be avoided. As Sync left the busier portion of the hallway he allowed himself a moment to think, sorting through any options he could've given himself when crossing the Sun Room. Both times he'd had to go through there he'd encountered an opponent, though one had at least been calm enough to where he could just walk by without problems.
Of course, he'd be a fool to believe the same could happen each and every time. No, it was better to play it safe for now. If anything, there could've been soldiers dotting the area, waiting to attack if anyone else so much as breathed in there.
Approaching the double doors, the replica's pace slowed until he stopped a few yard or so away from the entrance. And it was there that he leaned in, listening in for anything that could've tipped him off of someone else's presence.
[Unknowingly for Erika.]

There were two nearby, alone. One a large male and the other slender and smaller. This one, then. This one would feed them all nicely. The leader hissed to the others, and they chittered a chorus in reply, voices rising and falling in a mockery of laughter. As one, they started running towards the chosen prey, fanning out to surround him--the pack of four intent on bringing him down.

A surprise was waiting for Erika when she made it to the center of the hallway; five, actually. One was Sync, looking like he was trying to enter the Sun Room. She remembered their conversation from last night, so it wasn't strange that he was hovering around the door. That's right, wasn't it a patient who usually guarded the Sun Room...?
She might have spent more time thinking about this if it wasn't for the fact that four (very ugly) creatures seemed to be surrounding him. Most people would have probably warned him, stepped forward to help, or something stupidly heroic like that. Erika, on the other hand, was more than happy to hang back in the shadows and watch him. Monsters... if Sync was allied with the Institute, it wouldn't make sense that they would send creatures after him. Still, Erika had no interest in putting herself in danger for someone who might be trustworthy ( ... )
