I worked till 6. Then I went down to Paradise and met some nice folks from South of the Border who apparently flip cars they buy at auction. That is a slightly risky business since you cannot carfax them before you buy them. They might have been wrecked, or have serious engine and transmission problems. Okay, lj braintrust.......It has been to suggested by danabren that I should simply install another set of brackets at the point where the curtain will hang at the right length and let the valances cover it. I can, in fact, make the valances stick to the mounting bracket if I need to. I brought all my hardware from Hotel California since it was all MINE ( Read more... ) -

The Windows here are much higher than at Hotel California...by a foot!
My drapes do not reach the floor. Bah.
I am soooo not buying new drapes....or making new drapes. I will come to live with short drapes.

I bought a Glacier Bay 6inch 'rain' type shower head on ebay for $17 w/ shipping. I am contemplating a curved shower curtain rod 'cause the CircusCircus had one in the room and I thought it had mad style. I just went to Wal-Mart and got long curtain rods because the windows here are just over 60 inches, and the ones at Hotel California were 36's ( Read more... ) -

The fireworks went on for about three hours here. I *think* they might be over. As soon as twilight fell over Paradise they were going off. Oooops, spoke to soon. halp me LJ braintrust.....
I have a depression era quilt that my great-grandmother made. It is cream, red, and green tulips. I have a large hallway leading to the bathroom and it has the fuse box about a third of the way down. I want to hand this quilt because I like it, but also to cover the fuse box.
Any ideas?
