Well...It has been a while...

This is, according to what I can see of the calendar behind the piles of books and computer equipment piled on what it supposed to be my worktable, August 25th.

Let's see... on April 5th (2007) at the home owner's Association meeting which my Landlady and her husband attended with Cheryl and I, we were assured that our building was the first one ( Read more... )

Goodness! Five months and they're still not done? I hope they're not getting paid by the hour. I really hope it will be finished soon. ((hugs))

Thanks, Mischief,

If I wrote this as a story, no one would believe it. I still don't know exactly what, or when the flooring is going to be installed.

All of our household goods are still piled in either my office, my bedroom or the kitchen. They've decided they don't need to replace the kitchen vinyl. (The fact that it's more than 15 years old means that they don't consider the damage done by the water to warrent replacement.)

All in all, we're having another adventure... Adventures are NOT all they're cracked up to be.

Thanks for the update! I was worried that since you hadn't posted since the last one, that the house had fallen in on you, and you were buried under a pile of rubble. My house is bought & payed for, but I can't get the owners (me, that is) off their lazy arses to fix anything :-) Do try to get your own place, someday. There is nothing like self-flagellation to pass the time. :-)

No, after they replaced 4 beams in the roof, I suspect we're safe on that account. Over the years we've fixed a lot of stuff, faucets (replaced) and other goodies. The combination of the amount of work that needed to be done and the fact that the Homeowner's association was supposed to pay for it, meant that I couldn't do it. (Unfortunate. I work faster than that.)

Here's hoping that we get the rest done SOON!
