Absinthe!

I'm not a big drinker, but for years--since before it was legal again in the US--I've wanted to try absinthe. Well, our gamer brought some over today with the pizza he brought for dinner.  So I finally got to try it. I knew I didn't like the taste of licorice before we began, but ugh! I've always wanted to try it, too, but I can't quite convince myself to buy a bottle because I really just want to try it and the bottles always seem to be huge. I'm sure I'll get around to it eventually.

Well, my plan originally was to have a party, but the friend just shrugged and bought it. Have a lot of people over who want to taste it, maybe watch Moulin Rouge or something.

Ah well. We do have quite a bit left.

A friend of mine makes absinthe. He has good things to say about it. I've heard (somewhere online?) that the stuff you buy is very different than what you end up with when you buy a kit and concoct it yourself.
