There were so few ways this day could go worse. The day after the full moon tended to be almost as bad as the full moon itself. At least Sebastian got to stay human, which was the only plus. Reid was no stranger to sleepless nights. He had all but made a habit of it, staying up well past any kind of hour that most people considered a respectable bedtime, snoozing for a few hours just before daybreak, then maybe catching a few more unintentional minutes of sleep before and after work. Waiting to fall asleep was a task he wanted nothing to do with, so whatever sleep he got was usually unexpected and sudden, hence why he generally found himself waking up half-sprawled on the couch with a sore neck and the television still on in the middle of the night ( ... )

There was muffled shuffling happening behind the door, but without the wolf's sense of hearing, Sebastian couldn't ascertain much more about the situation. He might hate the wolf, but he'd actually like to be able to smell the hormones of emotions just then. It might help, or make things worse ( ... )

Everything else was still very much reeling in the back his mind - anger (no, fuck you for not telling me), worry (are you okay, is Sabrina okay), anxiety (you're fine, right, and you're not leaving, right), frustration (were you seriously not going to tell me), all mashed up along with the lingering disbelief, the surreality of what he had seen ( ... )
