There were so few ways this day could go worse. The day after the full moon tended to be almost as bad as the full moon itself. At least Sebastian got to stay human, which was the only plus. Not that be felt human at all. Unless pain made you human? That was a little too deep for his throbbing head and aching body.
Sebastian was so weak he'd barely made it down the stairs after he'd pulled on the softest, most comfortable clothes he owned. That had even been an effort, but going upstairs as the wolf - which was awkward, honestly - had been a good idea considering yesterday's clothes were still nothing more than rags in a corner of the foyer.
The altercation with Sabrina hadn't helped anything when he'd come down, moving gingerly slow, to be met with her wrath. Not that he didn't deserve it; he absolutely had. It just served to put his head in a worse place than it usually was following the moon. Which was probably not the best time to be going into whatever was going to happen when he gave Reid the all clear.
It was still ridiculously fucking early, but Sebastian hated that Reid had been locked in the study all night. There was no way he was making him suffer longer than he already had. So with heavy limbs and what felt like a weight on his chest - different than the usual weight he carried around following the moon - Sebastian shuffled across the newly scratched floor of the foyer.
He knocked, hand high enough that there was no mistaking it was a human making the sound. Honestly, he had a key. Sebastian could have unlocked the damn thing, but considering the way Reid had scurried off, it was probably best to let him come out on his own terms.
