So I finally went to a show at Carnegie, in the audience, instead of being on the stage. Sure, those were just with choirs. I won some tickets to Yefim Bronfman, an amazing pianist. I get a little worried when people start calling for upending the conventions of theater when the director/playwright is a rookie. First of all, I have to wonder, what are these conventions you think you're breaking? I managed to lose my camera at BurlyCon. I may have left or maybe it was stolen, I don't really know. In any case, I feel pretty chagrined about this, if not down right stupid about it. But since I don't really know what I did, I didn't feel like making any kind of false claim to my insurance company, or much less filing a false police report. ( Read more... )
