Hello friends, I've not been posting (or even commenting much) lately. Consumed with my daughter's Bat Mitzvah - it was GREAT! - parent producing my other daughter's school play, and politics.

Just the Bat Mitzvah alone was not causing all that much stress. We're pretty low key, and the planning was done awhile ago. It was the convergence of the weekend celebrations with hell week for the play directly following that was giving me kittens.

But I have survived! And all is well.

I've wanted to save the world since I was a wee thing, and realizing I cannot stop all the suffering has been a bitter pill.

Same here. Merely watching the news makes me so angry and frustrated. :/

It breaks my heart, and leaves me feeling sad and heavy. And yearning for a way to DO something of value. I spent a significant part of this morning reading about the parent charity of The Hunger Site and fantasizing about selling all my stuff, leaving my job, and dedicating myself to such an organization.

some day, maybe.
