Writing update and lackluster job search

Sep 08, 2009 15:37

I did manage 10 pages in the moleskine today. Since writing from home, I've only been able to manage 3-5 pages a day, on average, and felt like I was getting nowhere with the first draft. But today it actually felt like accomplished something with the novel, which is good. Still waiting to hear from Awesome Boss about my revised synopsis. I don't ( Read more... )

Keeping Sam and Ray banter from sounding like Sam and Gene must be an absolute bitch. I wish you the best of luck with that.

*crosses fingers for you synopsis*
I can't wait for you to get it out there.

There's going to be a job opening soon. There's always films being made within a driving distance of you, right? Or maybe there are tv-shows you can apply to? Because I know that several of them take place in New York, and so I guess they're filmed there as well?

Yeah, the banter is being difficult. Sam's voice not so much, but Ray's, since he and Gene are quite alike in their speech patterns. Though Gene is a tad smarter and does appreciate Sam a little more. I just need to focus on the fact that unlike Sam and Gene, Sam and Ray don't have such a mutual respect for each other.

I can't wait to get my synopsis out there. And I really should start work on more shorts and submitting to journals and magazines, as well as getting the novel out there. Hopefully the stars will align at some point.

There has to be a job. I just need to work my connections to find it and secure it. Hopefully UPC will find work soon which will lead to me finding work soon. He's been doing this freelance thing a lot longer than I have.

Yeah, there's not a lot of love lost between Sam and Ray, and even less respect.

Work on shorts! It'll be so gratifying to see your name in a magazine.

I'm sure there will be a job. Lots of people are needed for these things, and you live close enough to these things to actually have the opportunity to do them.

Thanks for your optimism. It's very much needed and appreciated. :)

I'll just keep plugging away. I have to get somewhere eventually.

For dinner this evening I had toast and jam. So don't worry about your shrimp and onion rings...*g*

Ooh and I had some mint chocolate too. *burps discreetly*

I have my fingers crossed for you being able to find a job soon. I am sure you will. *nod nod*

I'm going to have some candy corn later, too. I ate vegetables at some point. I think earlier this week...

Thanks! I hope I will. There must be something out there I can do besides pimp out rent boys.
