Honestly, the two that just make me laugh and giddy are ridiculous. Six White Boomers and Aussie Jingle Bells.

Actually, the guys who did the Jingle Bells have a whole CD of delightful Christmas ridiculous, with such charms as Father Christmas Showed Me How to Yodel and We Wish You a Ripper Christmas. (They pretty much nicked a bunch of classics, and changed the words to make them more 'Australian'.)

One I always go back to is How to Make Gravy, by Paul Kelly.

I know this is after the fact, but there's always next year. One of my all-time favorite songs is Amy Grant's version of "Breath of Heaven," and my favorite album for the last couple of years has been "Christmas Songs" by Jars of Clay. In both cases, I like that the songs aren't ones that are played ad nauseum on the radio.

After the fact is still totally acceptable! And I love Breath of Heaven, too. Will need to look into Jars of Clay, though.
